INFORMATION

TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday, October 5 

TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

PRACTICE ROUND:  For practice rounds at Oakland University G&LC - Katke please contact the golf shop for rates and availability of practice rounds - (248) 364-6300. Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as participants in the GAM Tournament of Champions. 

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

ONE BALL RULE: The One Ball Rule will be in effect for this championship.

FOOD: A continental breakfast will be available before the round for players only, and a lunch will be provided after the round. Other food and beverage may be purchased at the halfway house.

CADDIES/CARTS:  Automotive transportation is mandatory in this championship. NOTE: Only competitors may ride in a player’s cart. Caddies are not permitted. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. PRACTICE RANGE:  Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only.  The driving range will open one hour before first tee time.

PLAYOFF: A playoff for the Championship will take place immediately after the final scores have been posted. It is the player’s responsibility to be ready to play when called to the tee.

WITHDRAWAL:  If you have to withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournamententry@gam.org. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
