TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday, August 10 – Tuesday, August 11 

 

TEE TIME: You should arrive at the tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.  

 

DIRECTIONS:  Take I-96 to US-31 N to the Laketon Road exit. Turn left after the exit. Turn left onto Cottage Grove Drive from Lakeshore Drive.

PRACTICE ROUND: Practice rounds are available, but you must call the pro shop in advance and identify yourself as a GAM Women’s Championship Contestant, (231) 755-1841.

 

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

 

FOOD (FOR COMPETITORS ONLY): A complimentary lunch will be available each day of the tournament.

 

PRACTICE RANGE:  Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. Players should not be on the practice area more than 40 minutes prior to their tee time. Caddies, spectators, or coaches are not allowed on practice areas.

 

CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to walk. Contestants may carry their own bag or bring their own caddie. Caddies must also walk. Muskegon CC does not have local caddies for hire. Pull carts may be used if the host club allows them. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. PLAYOFF:  In the event of a tie of the Championship, a sudden-death playoff will take place immediately after the final scores have been posted.  It is the player’s responsibility to be ready to play when called to the tee.

 

WITHDRAWAL: If you have to withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournamententry@gam.org. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
