* Tee times run 8-9:20

* Should you want to play with specific guys, include that with sign up or email Claire.

* No chit money payouts at this time

* Green fees can be paid in proshop on the 9th, or call and pay over the phone.

* $5 cash games (Event, 2-game, gross and net skins) - No CTP - cant have guys grabbing the measuring markers.

* Tad will check players in on first tee, and money will be placed in ice cream bucket. Exact change only please.

* Place scorecards in bucket after round. Kutz will take home and enter info into computer.

* There will be no scoreboard or results given at event. Members encouraged to practice social distancing.

Match Play vs Par Event on June 6th. 

 

• This Event is a Match Play vs Par event
• You are playing Match Play vs the Course based on your net score on a hole
• If you score a Net Birdie or lower you win the hole
• If you score a Net Par you tie the hole
• If you score a Net Bogie or higher you lose the hole

 

This event is Stabelford event.

 

Points are scored based on your net score on a hole.

 

Net Double bogie and higher - 0 points

Net Bogie - 1 point

Net Par - 2 points

Net Birdie - 3 points

Net Eagle - 4 Points

Net Double Eagle- 5 Points

Net Triple Eagle- 6 Points

 

The player with the most points is the winner.

 

Lone Ranger Format

The Lone Ranger tournament format is a game that is played with foursomes.

 

Every hole, one player in that foursome is assigned to be the Lone Ranger.

 

On the 1st hole, player in position 1 in the pairings will act as the Lone Ranger.

 

On the 2nd hole, player in position 2 in the pairings will act as the Lone Ranger.

 

On the 3rd, player in position 3.

 

On the 4th, player in position 4.

 

The cycle then repeats throughout the rest of the round.

 

When playing this format, the Lone Ranger's ball will count as well as the best ball of the other 3 players.

 

Two balls will be counted on each hole.

The event on July 11th is a Quota by flight event. 

 

Sign-up deadline for the event is Wednesday July 8th at 12:00 noon.

 

Pairings will be available in the evening on that date.

This event is Match Play vs Par based on your net score on a hole.

 

You win a hole, lose a hole or tie a hole based on your net score.

Riverwood Classic

 

This event is a two day event with the competition being the best 3 balls (Net) of each pairing group on each hole.

 

Saturday's round will be at Riverwood (Shotgun start) and Sunday's round will be at Cedar Creek (Tee times based on Saturday's finish)

 

The sign up deadline is Noon July 22nd – Late signups will be put on the waiting list.

Indoor Mask Mandate is now in effect- Please bring Mask for Pro Shop and Tavern activities.

 

Starting Saturday, July 25 everyone who comes into the building must be wearing a mask. No exceptions unless they have a medical exemption not to wear one. Even if they come in for a minute to use the bathroom.

 

Saturday Classic - Riverwood

• 8:00 shotgun. Arrive early enough to pay, bet and be at your tee by 7:59 please.
• Tavern will open at 7:00.
• Players pool and other games available on patio to buy and pay for by 7:45
• Pot O’ Gold Raffle on Hole #6
• Pizza and Cold beverages will be available following the round.
  • Pizza cancelled due to mask mandate
  • Raffle Drawing will take place around 12:45 outside

Sunday Classic – Cedar Creek

• Tee times begin 8:00 – Email will be sent
• Gold tees used by those playing white/gold at RW

All Prize Money won will be available on RW first tee on August 8th, or in Cedar Pro Shop for their member

The Sunday round for the 2020,Classic has been cancelled.

Quota points are as follows - gross scores are used

bogie-1 point, par-2 points

birdie-4 points, eagle-6 points

double eagle-8 points

your quota is calculated by subtracting your playing handicap from 36.

The event on August 22nd will be held as follows:

 

Flight-1 will play Low Gross, other flights will play Net Stableford.

 

Flight-1 will play from the Blue/Black combo tees, other flights will play from the tees that they usually play.

 

Anyone whose handicap index is below 10.0 will play from the Blue/Black tees unless they opt to play from another tee. 

2020 Riverwood Club Championship

Sign-up deadline Wednesday Aug 26th

 

This tournament is the Club Championship of the Riverwood Men’s Club. The following events are featured in this Tournament.

1.) Stableford by Flights – (36 holes). The player with the most stableford points is the winner. All flight winners determined by Stableford points.

2.) Low Gross Overall (Member with lowest Gross score after 45 holes) Flight-1 only.

 

Flight 1 will be playing the black/blue combo tees.

Top four players and anyone within 5 strokes after 36-holes can play an extra 9 holes Sunday afternoon. Not required.

The low gross after 45 holes will be crowned Club Champion.

ANYONE can play in this flight

 

All those less than 10-handicap will automatically play

this flight unless you opt-out. 

 

There will be two additional flights based on handicap.

Those players will play the same tee they have played all summer long.

• ALL members eligible to play in event for cash and chits/games
• Those qualified for playoff will be playing for the final 6 spots in the 9/26 Shootout
  • Shootout Ties will be broken by scorecard playoff based on handicap ratings
