Format:

One 18-hole stipulated round of individual stroke play.  Contestants will play from the WHITE USGA Tee Markers wherever they are situated (see Yardage sheet).  The low four (4) individual scores will advance to the U.S. Senior Women's Amateur Championship at Waverley Country Club in Portland, Oregon on September 9-14, 2017. Any play-offs will take place immediately after the conclusion of play for the last spot and two alternate positions.

 

Competition Schedule:

Starting times will start at 8:30am off of #1. Please check the Pairings and Starting Times page for groupings and starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Practice Round Information:

Practice rounds are available any day after 1 PM on a space available basis by contacting the Pro Shop at the number above. Rates are $89/player including cart.

 

Cart Information:

Players are permitted to ride in golf carts during the stipulated round and are available for $14 per player. CADDIES MUST WALK (see additional Rules Information below). Pull-carts are permitted. Groups are limited to two carts per group. SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED.

 

Caddies:

Caddies are permitted, however caddies MUST walk. Youth on Course caddies are available at Marin CC and may be requested using the Looper app at http://www.looper.golf/how-it-works/   . Do not expect caddies to be available on site without making arrangements in advance.

 

Practice Balls:

Provided for players prior to and following competition round at no cost. The practice range will open at 6:30am. 

 

Payment Information:

Credit Cards or club reciprocal charges are accepted for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage).

 

Food and Beverage Information:

The Snack Bar is open at 9am and the Grille Room opens at 11am. Breakfast is not available on site, please plan accordingly.

 

Withdrawals:

Notify the NCGA at 831-625-4653 to withdraw.  Players that fail to notify the NCGA prior to their starting time will be listed as No Shows.

 

Refunds:

In the event of injury or illness, contact the USGA at 908-326-1950 for a refund prior to September 9, 2017. No refunds will be issued after September 9, 2017.  A $35 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

 

ADDITIONAL RULES INFORMATION

 

Rules Information:

The Rules of Golf effective January 1, 2016 are in effect and are supplemented by the 2017 USGA Hard Card.  The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site.  It is the player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition.

 

Limitation of Golf Balls:

The optional condition in Appendix I known as the “One Ball” Rule is in effect. See Appendix I-B-Ic.

 

Automotive Transportation:

The use of automotive transportation is prohibited for caddies. Players ONLY may use automotive transportation  See Appendix I-B-8.

 

Footwear:

Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round.  Penalty for breach of this condition: Disqualification.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:

Optional Local Rule permitting the use of distance-measuring devices to measure distance only is in effect. See Appendix I-A-7.

 

Grooves Condition:

Optional condition prescribed in Decision 4-1/1 is in effect.  You may check to see if your grooves are conforming by using the Informational Club Database - http://www.usga.org/InfoClubsDB/intro.html
