Eligibility requirements: Any junior golfer age 13-19 at the start of the event and is not affiliated with a college golf program.
Format: 36 holes stroke play.
Divisions: Boys and Girls
Tees: Boys play approximately 6,700 yards; Girls play approximately 5,700 yards.
Conditions of play: USGA Rules of Golf shall be in effect.
Entry Fee: $265
Tournament registration includes: Two rounds of tournament golf, participation gifts, complimentary lunch Saturday, tournament prizes.
Entry Deadline: 5 p.m. Friday, April 24

AJGA Status: The AJGA is recognizing this event with the following PBE status:
Girls Champion: 8 Stars Boys Champion: 4 Stars
Girls Top 3: 4 Stars Boys Top 10 Percent: 1 Star
Girls Top 5: 1 Star
Qualifier: Winners in the boys and girls divisions receive automatic invitations to compete in the 2020 Golfweek International Junior Invitational Nov. 7-8 at Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Fla. The International annually attracts among the top fields in junior golf and is recognized by the AJGA for PBE status with winners receiving 12 stars.
Schedule of Events:
Friday, May 1: Optional Practice Round (not included in entry fee). Players should arrange practice rounds by phoning the golf shop at 916-808-0963. Rounds can be scheduled the week prior to the first round at a cost of $30 before noon, $20 after noon.
4-6 p.m.: Player registration at the course. Registration is not mandatory, but players will receive tee gifts and other event information.
Saturday, May 2: First round tee times start off No. 1 at 10 a.m. Complimentary deli sandwich lunch available to players. Vegetarian options will be available upon request as noted in the registration form.
Sunday, May 3: Final round tee times start off No. 1 at 9 a.m. Awards ceremony to follow immediately upon winners being determined.
About the Golfweek Junior Tournament Series presented by USA Today: The Golfweek Junior Tournament Series presented by USA Today is now in its 19th year, with this being the sixth editiion of the Northern California Junior Open. All events in the Series are nationally ranked by Golfweek/Sagarin and National Junior Golf Scoreboard. The Golfweek International Junior Invitational is the flagship event of the Series and annually boasts of one of the top fields in junior golf and entry is based solely on invitation or though winning another event in the Series.
At stake: Winners in each division of the Golfweek Norrthern California Junior Open earn an automatic invitation to compete in the prestigious Golfweek International Junior Invitational Nov. 7-8 at Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Fla.

Cancellation and refund policy: Any player who wishes to cancel from the event, must notify Tournament Director Carlton Reese via email, creese@golfweek.com. Players who cancel on or before April 2, 2020 will receive a full refund less a $15 processing fee. Cancellations that take place from April 3 to April 16, 2020 will receive a full refund less a $75 cancellation fee. Cancellations that take place after April 16, 2020 will result in no refund.
*Please note: Refunds cannot be processed unless a player cancels via email contact with Carlton Reese. Players who cancel directly through the tournament web site are cleared from the portal and have no means of refund.
