Format: 36-hole stroke play

 

 

This is basically two tournaments and one qualifier occurring in the same two days of play.

 

SNV Amateur Entry Fee: $165 Per Player - Includes golf, cart, range balls, awards lunch and prizes.  Awards: Prizes will be given for gross & net finishes – at least 1/3 of the field will be paid. We will be playing from a mixed set of tees at approx 5525 yards.

 

SNV Senior Amateur Entry Fee: $165 Per Player - Includes golf, cart, range balls, awards lunch and prizes. Awards: This event is flighted by age (50-59,60-69,70+).  Prize fund will be distributed within the flight based on participation in that flight.  1/3 of each flight will be paid net or gross.  An overall net and overall gross winner will be given which comes from across all the flights.  We will be playing a mixed set of tees at approx 5525 yards.

 

Your choices for entry are:

      Amateur Only: $165

      Amateur and attempt to qualify for Silver Cup: $190 ($165+$25 for Silver Cup Qualification)

      Senior Amateur* Only: $165

      Senior Amateur* and attempt to qualify for Silver Cup: $190 ($165+$25 for Silver Cup Qualification)

      Amateur and Senior Amateur*: $200 ($165 + $35 for additional senior prize fund/trophies)

      Amateur and Senior Amateur* and attempt to qualify for Silver Cup: $225 ($165 + $35 for additional senior

                      prize fund/trophies and $25 for silver cup qualifier).

*You must be 50 years of age or older on the first day of the event to play in the Senior Amateur

 

BOTH EVENTS:

Limited to the first 60 paid entries. Play will occur from a mixed set of tees at approx 5525 yards.  Should a waiting list be necessary, players will be pulled off that list and entered into the event by those playing in the Silver Cup Qualifier followed by non Silver Cup Qualifiers.

Time: Shotgun beginning at 7:30 a.m. both days

Competitors: Must have a verifiable Southern NV issued handicap number.

Handicap Index at Entry: Limited to a maximum of 36.

Entries: Deadline to enter is August 19, 2020 and no refunds will be made after that date as well.

Practice Round: Practice rounds the week prior may be arranged through the pro shop.

Lunch: Following play on Thursday, September 3rd.

Requirements: Soft Spikes are mandatory. WSNGA dress code is in effect. Cellular phones not to be used during tournament play.

The 2020-SILVER CUP is a three-day Nevada State Women’s Golf Association event in which 20 women from the Northern Nevada Women’s Golf Association compete against 20 women from the Women’s Southern Nevada Golf Association in a Solheim/Ryder Cup format. The three formats are a two-person alternate shot, two-person best ball and singles. All formats are played as net only. This incredible event is your chance to represent the Women’s Southern Nevada Golf Association in a great team format. The qualifier will be 36 holes of stroke play held concurrently with the WSNGA Southern Nevada Amateur. You CANNOT enter the qualifier without entering the Southern Nevada Amateur. Of the players electing to play in the qualifier, the 9 low gross players and the 9 low net players will qualify for the 2020 Silver Cup team. Two more participants will be selected as captain’s picks to complete the 20-player field. REFUND POLICY: If a player cancels from an event prior to the entry closing deadline, their refund will be honored less a $10 administrative fee.  If a player cancels after the entry closing deadline but more than 48 hours prior to the competition date, a refund will be honored less 50% of the entry fee.  No refunds will be honored for cancelling less than 48 hours prior to the competition. A player has the right to appeal for a refund to the Director of Competitions and Tournament Committee within 5 days of the completion of the event, for extreme circumstances.  Documentation will be required in order to proceed with the appeals process.
