Hello Women Golfers,

Welcome to the 2020 season of the CommonGround Women’s Golf Club (CGWGC).  As president, I would like to introduce the other members of the club’s board of directors who work hard to organize our season of tournament play: Vice President and Membership Chair: Betsy Ryan; Secretary: Julie Laitos; Treasurer: Linda Boone;  At-Large: Susan Goddard;  Tournament Chair: Laura Stuto; Handicap Chair: Amy Wesoloskie and our Social Chairs: Priscilla Nuwash and Lisa Curwen.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions or suggestions you might have.

My mission this year is to facilitate play day tournaments that are simple and fun; enable opportunities to socialize with new people who share the love of the game; and provide opportunities to increase our knowledge of the game of golf.

IT'S TIME TO SIGN UP!

League fees remain at $90 for Regular members.  We are not accepting Associate Members this year, so if you don't want to participate in the Women's Club and only want a handicap, please just Join Online at www.coloradogolf.org.

If you are a previous member of the league:

1) First, sign in on the right side of the screen, using the GGID number: ESPWTF.

2) Register on this website. Go to the homepage and click on the Register Now button on the left-hand side.

3) Send your check (made out to CGWGC) to Linda Boone, 8762 E. 29th Place, Denver, CO 80238.  Your registration will remain pending until Linda receives your check.

Important note: you do not need to re-register on Ghin.com.  Registration fees must be received by March 25th in order to remain an active member.

If you are a previous member and have not yet created a profile on ghin.com, you can do that by going to ghin.com, "Create Profile."  This will enable you to use all of the functions available on the site, including hole-by-hole record keeping and other helpful tools.

If you are a new member to the league:

First, our regular membership is $90.00 annually and allows you access to participate in the weekly play days on Tuesdays at CommonGround.  Regular membership makes you a member in the Colorado Golf Association (CGA) and you will be assigned a GHIN number that will allow you to track your scores and establish a handicap.  To register, you will need to do the following:

1) Email Amy Wesoloskie your Name, Email, and Cell Phone (awesoloskie@msn.com).  Amy will set you up with a GHIN number, enter you into the Master Roster, and email you back.

2) When you receive an email back from Amy, you will be able to register on this website.  Go to the homepage and click on the Register Now button on the left-hand side.

3)  Send your check (made out to CGWGC) to Linda Boone, 8762 E. 29th Place, Denver, CO 80238.  Your registration will remain pending until Linda receives your check.

Once you are registered, you can create a profile on www.ghin.com. This will enable you to use all of the functions available on the site, including hole-by-hole record keeping and other helpful tools.

OTHER INFORMATION

Please note that CommonGround offers the Women’s Club members a discounted rate on our Tuesday play days of $38 per round. For other days you play the course, be sure to consider a punch card of ten rounds for $430. This season, on play days, we are being offered a small bucket of balls for only $3.00 to help us warm up. Please take advantage of this generous deal!

To sign up for CGWGC league play, you may book your tee time up to 7 days in advance by calling the Golf Shop at 303-340-1520. For play on non-league days, we encourage you to book your tee time online at http://www.commongroundgc.com/.  To do this, contact Alex or Drew in the Golf Shop and they will set you up with an online booking profile. There is a one-time $1.00 charge for this convenience and you will be able to book online 7 days in advance

We always welcome new members, so if you know someone who would like to play, please encourage them to join!  Our kick-off “Meet & Greet” is April 14th when you can learn everything you ever wanted to know about our club, get informed of any changes to the rules, and socialize with old friends and meet new ones. Feel free to bring potential members. We meet at 9 a.m. at CommonGround Golf Course.

I look forward to another great season!  See you on April 14th!
