Dean Harrison Memorial Fall Classic

 

Round One - November 7th - Assigned Tee Times

Round Two - November 8th - 9:00am Shotgun Start for All Players

 

FORMAT:  36 Holes of Better Ball. All putts counting for the team score must be holed. 

 

SCORING:  A player in each foursome will be required to download the Golf Genius App.  It is expected this individual will enter the scores for the group after the completion of each hole.  

 

 

FLIGHTS: The field will be put into flights after the first round based on the first round score.  Upper and Low Championship Flight will be playing from the Blue Tees in Round 2.   

 

ON COURSE CONTESTS:  Closest to the Pin's on two Par 3's each day. 

 

Holes #4 & #16 on Day One

Holes #8 & #11 Day Two

 

PREFERRED LIES:  You may lift, clean and place your golf ball one club length in the fairway no closer to the hole.    

 

TEE MARKERS: 

White Tees: Players younger than 60. 

Gold Tees: Seniors 60+ or Juniors;  Ladies - Red Tees

Blue Tees for those qualifying for Upper and Lower Championship Flight in Round Two.

 

EMBEDDED BALL RULE: Anywhere "through the green," a ball which is embedded in its own pitch mark in the ground, except in loose sand, may be lifted without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer the hole (appendix I, 5-b)

 

DROP AREAS:  During this event all on course drop areas are not in play and may not be used.

 

RELIEF FROM EXTENSIONS OF CART PATHAll areas next to the cart path consisting of sandy, rocky, or bare areas are deemed to be extensions of the path and are eligible for relief.  Proceed just as you would in taking relief from the cart path.

 

IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (RULE 24-2): defined as the following: artificially surfaced cart paths; sprinkler heads; irrigation controllers and control boxes; distance yardage markers (in fairways); utility boxes; and related systems. One-club relief no closer to the hole may be obtained under rule 24-2b.

 

PACE OF PLAY: Individuals in groups out of position may be timed without warning.  Rounds are expected to be played in 4 hours.

 

ROCK FORMATIONS:  Rock formations are considered an integral part of the golf course. There is no free relief from these areas. Ball must be played as it lies.   

 

OUT OF BOUNDS:  Defined by (a) the inside edge at ground level of white stakes of property stakes, (b) the inside edge of public roads or their curbing. 

 

SCORECARD: Return your properly executed scorecard to the scorer's table located in the main dining room of the clubhouse.
