Entry Deadline:  June 15

 

Registration Fee: $130 per player (includes range fee, lunches and prizes)

 

Format: 36-holes individual stroke play, two-day event.

 

Eligibility: Open to any male or female player who is a member of a Member Club or an Individual Member of Pennsylvania Golf Association. All players must not have reached their 19th birthday by June 30.

 

Divisions:  Boys Ages 14-18 will play Herhsey Country Club (approx. 6,750 yards).  Girls ages 14-18 will play Lebanon Country Club (approx. 5,600 yards)

 

Field: Limited to 120 players at each venue.  The top 30 boys and 15 girls from the 2019 event will be exempt in 2020.  Entries will then be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  A wait list will be established to accommodate any overflow in entries.

 

Cart/Caddie: Automotive transportation is prohibited. Caddies are NOT permitted.

 

Spectators: Spectators will NOT be permitted; except that any player may authorize two, and not more than two persons, to spectate at the event, but only if such person(s) is a member of the player’s immediate family, provided that in all such circumstances such person(s) may NOT provide any assistance to the player, may NOT indicate the line of play, may NOT handle the player’s clubs or equipment, and may NOT otherwise provide any services normally provided by a caddie.


Spectator Carts (for viewing golf): Spectator Carts are NOT Permitted.

 

Food & Beverage: Boxed lunches will be provided to all players each day.  Additional food/beverage purchases will also be available at both Hershey CC and Lebanon CC.

Practice Rounds Hershey: Will be available on Sunday, June 28.  Please call the golf shop to schedule a tee time at 717-533-2464 no more than 14 days in advance.  Players may walk and carry or take a cart.  Push carts are permitted.  Payment options include Visa, MasterCard or Cash.

Practice round fee:  $65

Cart fee:  $30

 

Practice Rounds Lebanon:  Will be available.  Please contact the golf shop to schedule a tee time at 717-272-1893.

Practice round fee:  $50 includes cart and range balls

 

Pairings: Play will be in threesomes at 10-minute intervals.  First round results will determine second round pairings. 

 

Start Times: The PAGA staff, following as closely as practical the preferences indicated on the entry form will determine pairings and tee times.

 

Ties: In the event of a tie for the Junior Boys’ or Girls’ Championship there will be a sudden-death playoff immediately following the conclusion of play. For flag award presentation only, all other ties will be broken by matching scorecards in accordance with USGA guidelines.

 

In the Junior Boys’ Team Championship, the fourth score (or 3rd for Girls’) from the final round will be added to the total team score. If a tie still exists, the fourth score (or 3rd for Girls’) from the first round will be added. Teams with only three players (or 2 for Girls’) will suffer defeat against a team with four players (or 3 for Girls’) for failure to have a tiebreaker score.

 

Prizes: The individual with the lowest gross score after 36-holes will be declared the Junior Champion.  Prizes will also be given to the top two finishers in the Junior Championship.

 

The Boys’ team competition is the best 3 of 4 scores each day.  Girls’ team competition is best 2 of 3 scores each day.  The teams with the lowest total score after 36-holes will be declared the Junior Team Champions. The winning teams will be awarded individual prizes.

 

Special Note:  Special Note: The 2020 Pennsylvania Junior Championship is part of the AJGA’s Performance Based Entry program, which enables 14-18-year-old members to earn their way into AJGA Open tournaments.
