Event Overview 

 

Registration Fee: $490 per team (includes cart fees, range fees, lunches and prizes)

 

Format: 36-hole four-ball stroke play competition, two-day event.

 

Eligibility: The Senior Four-Ball Championship is open to any male amateur golfer, 55 years of age and over as of Aug. 31, who is member of a club belonging to the Pennsylvania Golf Association or an individual member of the Pennsylvania Golf Association. Players need not be members of the same club.

The Super-Senior Four-Ball Championship is open to any male amateur golfer, 65 years of age and over as of Aug. 31, who is member of a club belonging to the Pennsylvania Golf Association or an individual member of the Pennsylvania Golf Association. Players need not be members of the same club.

Competitors are limited to playing in one division.

 

Field: Limited to 72 teams.  Selection of the field will be based on the lowest 72 combined indexes as of the close of entries.

 

Cart/Caddie: Automotive transportation is permitted and Mandatory at the request of the host club.  Two carts maximum per group.

 

Food & Beverage: Lunch will be provided each day of competition from approximately 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is included in the entry fee. Additional F&B purchases will be available.

Practice Rounds: Will be available Aug. 29-30 after 1 p.m.  Please contact the golf shop to schedule at tee time at 724-746-2951 no more than 14 days in advance. Players may walk, take a cart or use a pull cart during practice rounds.  Payment options include Visa, MasterCard or Cash.

Practice round fee:  $50

 

Pairings: Play will be in foursomes. First round results will determine second round pairings. 

 

Start Times: The PAGA staff, following as closely as practical the preferences indicated on the entry form will determine pairings and tee times.

 

Ties: In the event of a tie for the Senior Four-Ball Championship, there will be a sudden-death playoff immediately following the conclusion of play in either Division. All other ties will be broken by matching scorecards in accordance with USGA guidelines.

 

Prizes: The team with the lowest gross score after 36-holes will be declared the Senior Four-Ball Champions. Additional prizes will be awarded.
