ADVISORY DURING THE NOVEL CORONAVIRUS (nCOV) PERIOD

 

 

Please be advised that in line with the Ministry of Health (MOH)/Sports SG advisories following the outbreak of the “Wuhan Coronavirus” in mainland China, SGA will be taking extra precautionary measures to safeguard all athletes, staff and visitors’ safety and wellbeing.

 

All participants/parents/visitors or staff attending to scheduled SGA services/activities, training sessions, tournaments or any other matters in SGA Office/HPC/Golf Clubs will need to take note of the following:

 

• Participants/parents/ visitors or staff with a recent travel history to mainland China within the last 14 days are advised not to enter any SGA events/activities or SGA Office/HPC

 

• • Participants/parents/visitors or staff who have recently traveled to China, are not to attend any SGA activities until given all-cleared by a medical practitioner.

 

• • The same applies to anyone who has been in close contact (family or friends) with anyone who has been to mainland China.

 

• • Various Travel Declaration forms will be used for different events.

 

• • Temperature taking will be done to participants/parents/visitors or staff before the start of any activity or tournament. Any individual deemed unwell or exhibit elevated body temperature will be advised to leave the venue and seek medical assistance immediately.

 

 

• Anyone showing symptoms of the flu is advised not to attend any SGA event/activity and to seek appropriate medical treatment.

 

• Any of the participants/parents/visitors or staff who become unwell during an event should leave or will be asked to leave immediately to seek appropriate medical attention.

 

• Individuals who are well, do not need to wear masks.

 

• SGA strongly advise observing good personal hygiene practices like frequent washing of hands with soap or hand sanitizers.
