2020 Golfweek New England Junior Open

Eligibility requirements: Any junior golfer age 13-19 at the start of the event and is not affiliated with a college golf program.

 

Format: 54 holes stroke play.

 

Divisions: Boys and Girls

 

Tees: Boys play approximately 6,700 yards; Girls play approximately 5,700 yards. (Approximate yardage based on weather conditions)

 

Conditions of play: USGA Rules of Golf shall be in effect.

 

Entry Fee: $275.00

 

Tournament registration includes: Three rounds of tournament golf, one practice round, tee gift, complimentary lunch after round 1.

 

Entry Deadline: 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 9 or until the field is full

 

National Rankings: World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) administered by the R&A and USGA, Golfweek/Sagarin, Junior Golf Scoreboard.

 

 

Schedule of Events:

 

Tuesday, July 14: Practice round (included in entry fee) must be arranged by player. To reserve a tee time, players should phone the Ledgemont Country Club golf shop, 508-761-3300 and identify themselves as a Golfweek New England Open participant. Players also have the option to play a practice round at an earlier date and should phone the golf shop for details.

 

11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Player registration at the course. Registration is not mandatory, but players will receive tee gifts and other event information.

 

Wednesday, July 15: First round, tee time start off of No. 1 & 10 at 7 a.m. "Grab and Go" lunch available to players between rounds. Second round tee times off of No. 1 & 10 start at 1:00 p.m.

 

Thursday, July 16: Final round tee times start off of No. 1 at 7:30 a.m. Awards ceremony to follow immediately upon winners being determined.

 

About the Golfweek Junior Tournament Series presented by USA Today: The Golfweek Junior Tournament Series presented by USA Today Sports is now in its 19th year, with this being the eighth editiion of the New England Junior Open. All events in the Series are nationally ranked by Golfweek/Sagarin and Junior Golf Scoreboard. 54-hole tournaments are counting events for the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) administered by the R&A and USGA. The Golfweek International Junior Invitational is the flagship event of the Series and annually boasts of one of the top fields in junior golf and entry is based solely on invitation or though winning another event in the Series.

 

At stake: Winners in each division of the Golfweek New England Junior Open earn an automatic invitation to compete in the prestigious Golfweek International Junior Invitational Nov. 7-8 at Hammock Becach Resort in Palm Coast, FL

Cancellation and refund policy: Any player who wishes to cancel from the event, must notify Tournament Director Ron Gaines via email, rgaines@golfweek.com. Players who cancel on or before June 23, 2020 will receive a full refund less a $35 processing fee. Cancellations that take place from June 24, 2020 to July 7, 2020 will receive a full refund less a $75 cancellation fee. Cancellations that take place after July 7, 2020 will result in no refund.

 

*Please note: Refunds cannot be processed unless a player cancels via email contact with Ron Gaines (rgaines@golfweek.com). Players who cancel directly through the tournament web site are cleared from the portal and have no means of refund.
