Metropolitan Women’s Amateur Championship Information

 

Method of Play:

18-Hole, Individual Stroke Play Qualifier Followed by Individual Match Play

 

The field will be divided into the following divisions:

• Women's Amateur
• Women's Senior

 

After the Stroke Play Qualifier, the field will be flighted in the following manner:

• Championship Flight – 16 Participants
• All Other Flights – 8 Participants

 

Number of Flights dependent on field size, and all participants will play a minimum of one match.

 

Ties in qualifying round will be decided by a blind draw, except that places of those participating in a play-off will be determined by their performance in the play-off.

 

In the event of a tied match, (a) the winner will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole play-off and (b) the stipulated round is deemed to extend to as many holes as are required for a match to be won.

 

Conditions of the playoffs will be announced on-site by the GCGA Rules Committee.

Eligibility:

Eligibility for this event is limited to individuals who meet all of the following criteria:

1. Must be a Member of Greater Cincinnati Golf Association by purchasing a USGA Handicap Index for the current year - Register Now or Visit Your Local GCGA Facility

2. Must have created a Player's Account Through the USGA Tournament Management System - Register Now

3. All players must conform to the USGA Rules of Amateur Status.

4. Participants must be female.

5. Participants in the Senior Division must be 50 years of age or older on the first day of the Championship.
