Welcome to the 19th Annual Firethorne Men’s Member Guest Golf Tournament.  For those members and guests who are returning this year, we are delighted to have you back. If you are joining us for the first time, welcome to Firethorne Country Clubs Member Guest Event.. The Member Guest Committee has worked hard to plan a great tournament. You will find our Tom Jackson designed golf course to be challenging for all levels of play.  

 

The event will begin on Wednesday with an 18 hole practice round featuring an optional Better Ball competition.  Call the golf shop to schedule your practice round. The entry fee is $40.00 per team and there will be gross and net winners.

 

The Tournament will begin at 8:00 am on Thursday with registration in the Golf Shop and Breakfast in the St. Andrews Room. Each team’s $200 flight pool will be collected at that time. Thursday's Full Field Shotgun will start at 10:00am, the first nine hole match will commence.  The itinerary for the rest of the tournament is listed below. Once again, our traditional match play tournament and championship shoot out will make for an exciting team competition and a great weekend. The competition will begin on Thursday with two nine hole matches, two nine hole matches on Friday and one match on Saturday.  Saturday also features the Championship Shoot Out, matching all flight winners in a battle to determine the 2017 champion that will conclude on the 9th Green.

 

Saturday evening will begin at 7:00 pm with an open bar and a fabulous array of heavy hors d’oeuvres sure to please everyone.   Please note that jackets are required for the men on Saturday evening. 

 

Thursday October 5th

• 8:00 am-10:00 am              Registration and Breakfast will be served.
• 10:00am                             First 9-Match Shotgun
• 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm            Lunch & Second Round Match 2:15pm Shotgun. 
• 2:00pm - 5:00pm                Food and beverages available on course.
• 5:30 pm - 11:00pm             Stag Night and Long Drive Finals

 

Friday, October 6th

• 7:30 am – 11:30am            Breakfast and Practice Range Open
• 9:00 am - 11:30 am            Third 9- Hole Match Tee Times Putting Contest as you make the Turn.
• 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm            Fourth Round Match Tee Times.  Lunch will be served at the Turn.
• 11:00 am – 3:00 pm           Lunch served in the Bar

Saturday, October 7th

• 8:00 am                                 Breakfast in the St. Andrews Room.  Practice Range Open

          10:00 am SHOTGUN             Fifth 9-hole Match  ~  Lunch & Para-Mutual Betting after Fifth Round

              Lunch served in the Bar after the Match.

• 2:30 pm                                 Flight Winner Shootout will commence after the posting of all scores
• 7:00 pm                                 Cocktail Party for Players, Spouses & Guests  (Jacket required for Men)
