HSJGA Match Play Championship

Format
Traditional Match Play format with consolation brackets formed after the 1st Round.
Eligibility
Open to HSJGA Members in good standing who have passed the HSJGA Rules Quiz and complete the HSJGA Questionnaire. Juniors are welcomed to “Play-Up” in the event that their division does not meet the minimum number of players, but will automatically be placed on a wait-list and only allowed to play-up if space is available.
Players must have an active and up-to-date Handicap Index that includes all scores on the date of entry. A player with a scoring record that displays an NH is not eligible until scores are entered into the system.
Seeding
Juniors will be seeded based on their Handicap Index on date on which entries close with any ties being broken by a random draw. Lowest Handicap Index will receive the #1 seed and so on.
HSJGA Staff & Volunteer Support
Due to the challenges presented by COVID19, HSJGA Staff and Volunteer Officials will be supporting and available to assist you during your respective matches throughout the competition. More information will be presented in your Player Package.
Entry Fee & Prizes
The event conducted by the HSJGA will cost $20 with $10 supporting COVID19 relief efforts for the Hawaii Foodbank.
Juniors will be responsible for paying greens fees for the golf course of their choosing. Please keep in mind that County Golf Courses have rates ranging from free to $5 throughout the state and should be considered when planning your matches.
The Champions in each division will recieve an invitation to the Michelle Wie Tournament of Champions December 5th - 6th at Wailea Golf Club on Maui and will be featured on HSJGA Social Media and Website.
Age Divisions & Yardages
*Matches must be played from tees within division guidelines
Girls 13-18: 5,800-6,400 yards
Girls 7-12: 4,500-5,500 yards
Boys 13-18: 6,200-7,000 yards
Boys 7-12: 4,500-5,500 yards

HSJGA will communicate each individual match schedule via email.
HSJGA Points
No Points will be awarded for this event
Spectators
SPECTATORS ARE ALLOWED BUT MUST ADHERE TO ALL GOLF COURSE GUIDELINES ON SOCIAL DISTANCING AND MUST ABIDE BY HSJGA CODE OF CONDUCT AND DRESS CODE.
In the event where a spectator is found to be in violation of HSJGA Spectator Policy, the subsequent junior will be removed from the event, no exceptions.
All spectators must walk.
Golf Course Info
The player with the lower seed is responsible for choosing the golf course to be played for the match.
All players must follow golf course guidelines related to Covid-19 and practice social distancing throughout their match.
Hawaii Foodbank
Each participating junior is asked to participate in soliciting pledges for the Hawaii Foodbank during the challenging times that COVID19 has had on Hawaii. The efforts of the Foodbank are so important to the local community and we need your help. Please see Hawaii Foodbank Pledge Form - HERE
