Attention Future Potlatch Competitors,
We would like to give you an update on our plans for the 2020 Potlatch. Undoubtedly, it is the most anticipated tournament of the year and with that in mind we are planning on a few changes to the event to accommodate more competitors. We are seeing a record number of rounds this year and as a result, we are anticipating an increased number of entrants wanting to participate. Our previous capacity for the event was 82 Teams and this year we are increasing the number of available entrants to a maximum of 120 Teams. We have highlighted the changes we are making below in order to keep our members and staff safe by promoting physical distancing and our COVID-19 protocols.
2020 Potlatch Changes:
- If we receive more than 82 Team Entries, we will move to a three day event.
- There will be one day qualifying on either the Friday or Saturday.
- The Field will be split evenly between the Friday group and a Saturday group.
- There will be cut after the 1st Round – Top 27 Teams and Ties from each Group will advance.
- Scoring will continue to be a two day aggregate with 90% of handicap - Net Best Ball Format.
- Pari Mutuels will take place, however, all wagers (cash only) will be processed through The Golf Shop in advance of the event.
- Yack Honey Pot (optional)- $150.00 per team , processed in advance (cash only) through The Golf Shop.
- Preferred pairing requests will not be accepted.
- The Sangster Stakes (Horserace) will not take place in 2020.
Important Dates:
- Entries Open: August 7 at 10:00AM
- Group A - Friday, September 11
- Group B – Saturday, September 12
- Teams making the cut will play on Sunday, September 13
- 1st day starting times will be posted on Friday, September 4
- All Entries will be processed through our Tournament Software, Golf Genius
Entry Fee is $155.00 (Competitors not making the cut will receive a $20.00 F&B Credit)
