Format:

One 18-hole stipulated round of four-ball stroke play.  Contestants will play from the WHITE USGA Tee Markers wherever they are situated (see Yardages).  The low side will advance to the 2018 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship at Jupiter Hills Club in Tequesta, FL on May 19-23, 2018. Any play-offs will take place immediately after the conclusion of play for the last spot and two alternate positions.

 

Competition Schedule:

Starting times will start at 9:00am off of #1 and #10. Please check the NCGA website for groupings and starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Practice Round Information:

Fee - $40 (Tuesday-Thursday after 10am), $45 (Friday-Sunday after 10am); carts are optional at $14 per player. Please contact the Pro Shop for availability.

 

Cart Information:

Automotive transportation is prohibited. Players and caddies must walk. Pull-carts are permitted. SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED.

 

Caddies:

Caddies are permitted, however, they are not available from Peach Tree Golf & Country Club.

 

Practice Balls:

Provided for players prior to and following competition round at no cost. The practice range will open at 7:00am. The practice putting and chipping greens will open at sunrise.

 

Payment Information:

Cash and Credit Cards are accepted for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage).

 

Food and Beverage Information:

The Snack Bar will be open from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Snack Bar items include breakfast burritos, ready-made sandwiches and drinks.

 

Withdrawals:

Notify the NCGA at 831-625-4653 to withdraw.  Players that fail to notify the NCGA prior to their starting time will be listed as No Shows.

 

Refunds:

In the event of injury or illness, contact the USGA at 908-234-2300 for a refund prior to May 18, 2018. No refunds will be issued after May 18, 2018.  A $30 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

 

ADDITIONAL RULES INFORMATION

 

Rules Information:

The Rules of Golf effective January 1, 2016 are in effect and are supplemented by the 2017 USGA Hard Card.  The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site.  It is the player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition.

 

Limitation of Golf Balls:

The optional condition in Appendix I known as the “One Ball” Rule is in effect. See Appendix I.

 

Automotive Transportation:

The use of automotive transportation is prohibited for players and caddies.  See Appendix I.

 

Footwear:

Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round.  Penalty for breach of this condition: Disqualification.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:

At sectional qualifying and the championship proper, a player may obtain distance information by use of a distance-measuring device. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., elevation changes, wind speed, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3.

 

Grooves Condition:

Optional condition prescribed in Decision 4-1/1 is in effect.  You may check to see if your grooves are conforming by using the Informational Club Database - http://www.usga.org/InfoClubsDB/intro.html
