2021 MEN’S NSW OPEN REGIONAL QUALIFIER TERMS OF COMPETITION
These are to be read in conjunction with the Golf NSW Standard Conditions for Events Run by Golf NSW, the Golf NSW Code of Conduct and the Golf NSW Hard Card. Should a conflict occur between conditions, then the conditions outlined on the entry form take precedence.
Championship Procedure
The Championship will be played as follows:
The Rich River Open Amateur Championship – stroke play over two 18 hole rounds on the East Course at Rich River Golf Club. The leading player at the end of this stroke play event shall be the 2021 Rich River Open Amateur Champion. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by sudden death play-off. If insufficient time is available for a play-off, joint winners will be declared. All other ties shall be determined using the Golf Australia Countback System.
NSW Open Regional Qualifier – stroke play over two 18 hole rounds on the East Course at Rich River Golf Club. The leading player(s) at the end of this stroke play shall be the NSW Open Regional Qualifier. The leading 2 players over 50 years of age at the end of the event shall be the NSW Senior Open Regional Qualifiers. In the event of a tie, the winner and or second placegetter will be determined by sudden death play-off. If insufficient time is available for a play-off, the winner shall be determined using the Golf Australia Countback System. The three best nett scores after the two rounds will receive a spot in the 2021 NSW Open Pro Am to be conducted at Concord GC. In addition the three best nett scores will receive tickets to the VIP Hospitality area on selected days of the 2021 NSW Open Championship.
Championship Committee
- The Championship Committee will comprise of the Rich River Men’s Match Committee.
- In the absence of a full Championship Committee, such members that may be present at the time may give a decision, and any decision so given will be deemed to be a decision of the full Championship Committee.
- The decision of the Championship Committee as to acceptance or refusal of any entry will be final.
Rules of Play
The Rules of Golf, as adopted by R&A Rules Limited, will apply, together with Golf NSW Hard Card (see condition 15), and any additional Local Rules as drawn up by the Championship Committee.
Entries
- GA Handicap: Eligible players are male amateurs whose GA Handicap (or overseas equivalent) does not exceed 9 strokes at the time of entry.
- Age: There is no age restriction.
- Entry Fee: the entry fee applicable for this event is $60.
- Ballot: In the event of entry applications exceeding the number of places available in the Championship, entrants will be determined by a handicap ballot, based on the GA handicap at the close of entries. Unsuccessful applicants will be informed without delay and given the opportunity to compete if withdrawals subsequently occur. Monies received from balloted entrants, who do not subsequently compete, will be refunded in entirety.
- Eligibility: Any player who has their golf playing membership or handicap at the date of the Championship suspended by Golf Australia, Golf NSW, any Club who is a member of Golf NSW / Golf Australia, or a District Golf Association, is not eligible to participate.
- Exemptions: There are no exemptions for this Championship.
Motorised Transport
See Golf NSW Standard Conditions. Participants must walk at all times during a stipulated round unless permission has been granted by the Committee. Applications for permission MUST be made at the time of entry. Golf NSW takes no responsibility for the availability of golf carts.
Practice
Practice rounds prior to the Championship are at the discretion of the host club.

Registration
Competitors MUST check-in at the Pro Shop 30 mins before their starting time on each day of play.
