Golfingdays Pro Am Series Terms and conditions

 

Competition Rules and Format

1. The Pro Am Series will take place across various Golf venues around the country.

2. The series will have a mix of “Classic” and “Major” Pro Ams.

3. All events will require teams of 4 consisting of one professional and 3 amateur golfer’s. 

4. The format for the majority of the events will be best 2 scores from 4. Some venues will play host to slightly different formats, but still based on the traditional “Pro Am team of 4” scenario.

5. The Professional will play an individual medal and the Pro Am team element will be stableford scoring.

6. The Professionals will also be part of a season long Order of Merit.

7. The top 15 professionals in the Order of Merit will qualify for a 1 day final.

8. OOM points will be awarded to all professionals.  

9. The events are open to both male and female competitors. Female professionals will play a course a minimum of 11% shorter than the men, based on the scale the European Tour uses.

10. All tournaments will be played under The R&A Rules of Golf and Local Rules of the host club.

11. All players will play from the white/red tees unless told otherwise on the day of each event.

12. Handicap – Amateurs – 90% handicap, maximum male handicap 20, and female handicap 28.

13. Further information will be displayed at registration at each event.

14. Any practice rounds to be organised by the player themselves at their own cost.

 

Eligibility

1. Any Professional Golfer.

2. Any Amateur with an active CONGU handicap. 

3. Handicap certificates or CDH numbers must be produced at registration if requested. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of any prizes won.

 

Entry Procedure

2. All entries must be made through our website at www.golfingdays.co.uk . Payment is required at time of registration and at that point you can select your preferred teetime for each event.

4. The final tee sheet for each event will be available on our website 2 days before each event.

 

Entry Fees

1. Our “Classic” Pro Am events will all be £220 per team. Our “Major” Pro Am’s will all be £290 per team.

2. Full payment will be required on entry.

3. Any withdrawal prior to 7 days before the event will receive a full refund minus a £20 admin fee.

4. Any withdrawals within 2-7 days of the event will result in a 50% refund.

5. Any withdrawals within 48 hours of the event will mean the full entry fee will be forfeited.

6. Entries must be made by noon on the closing date. Late entries will be accepted via email to Mark Hatton. 

7. Once maximum numbers have been reached, further entries will be taken and placed on a reserve list.

 

Field Size

1. Each Tournament field size will be dictated on what time of the year each event is held due to daylight.

2. In the event of withdrawals, places will be allocated from the reserve list on a first come first served basis. 

 

In The Event Of a Tie

1. In the event of a tie in the Professional medal the monies and OOM points will be split equally.

1. In the event of a tie in the team event, determination will be made on count-back using the best scores on the back 9,6,3 and last hole and finally sudden death from the first hole. 

2. In the event of a tie in our Professional final, a play off will determine our season long champion.

 

Prize Fund

1. Prize funds will vary and be dependent on number of entrants. The actual breakdown for each event will differ subject to the number of entries.

2. We will guarantee a first professional pro prize of £1000 per “classic” and £1500 per “Major” based on full fields

3, 25% of the Pro field paid out. Top 6 team prizes. All subject to full fields.

4. Amateurs will receive retail vouchers for host venues Professional Shop ONLY. Vouchers will be valid for a maximum of 6 months and extensions will not be offered. These vouchers are not transferable for cash.

6. Any sponsored prizes in the form of goods and not vouchers will be non-returnable.

7. Any spot prizes will be handed to the winner at the event following if we don’t have chance to award these on the day.

8. There will be bonus incentives for the Professional Final at the end of the season.

 

Suspension of Play 

1. The safety of the players is our number one priority.
2. Players will be called in at any sign of electrical activity. This will be signalled by 1 long bast on the klaxon The ball must be marked immediately with 2 tee pegs.
3.Players must then seek nearest point of safe shelter
4. Resumption of play will be signalled by 2 long blasts on the klaxon.
5. Other reasons for suspension i.e. flooding of greens, will be signalled by 2 short blasts on klaxon.
6. Players at this point have 2 options: mark the ball with 2 tee pegs or complete the hole that they are currently on.
7. In the event of suspension of play for any reason all players must then report to tournament registration desk.
8. Players may only resume play when given permission by the Golfingdays tournament staff. 

 

Tournament Cancellations 

1. Golfingdays reserves the right to cancel any of their tournaments for any reason that it deems necessary.
2. In the unlikely event of a tournament cancellation 100% off all entry fees will be refunded to the players within 2 working days. 

3. Players acknowledge that Golfingdays cannot be held accountable for any additional expenses incurred & loss of earnings in the event of a tournament cancellation.
4. If the tournament is cancelled prior to the scheduled date, the tour will endeavour to find an alternative venue. The player acknowledges this may not be possible. 

5. Golfingdays we will endeavour to reschedule any tournament that is cancelled prior to its scheduled date due to adverse weather or course conditions.

6. 9 holes must be completed by all competitors in order for the event to have been staged and completed
7. Golfingdays maintains the right to cancel any tournament up to the entry deadline should numbers of participants be too low to sustain an effective tournament. 

 

Further info

  1. Code of conduct & dress code. All players and caddies/ friends are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner both on and off the course. Golfers must adhere to the clubs current dress code.
  2. Professionals can wear shorts.
  3. No prize presentations.
  4. No change of clothes required.
  5. Professional prize money WILL NOT be subject to any levies.
  6. Professional prize monies are guaranteed to be paid within 24 hours of the event.
