2021 TMGA Junior-Senior Championship

ENTRY FEE:  $5,000 per team; the entry fee includes single accommodations at a Pinehurst Reort property for 4 days and 3 nights, greens fees, carts, and range fees for each round, plus the Par-3 Cradle. Caddies are included during the first round with carts (cart path only on Pinehurst #4 and walking caddies for the second round (no carts on Pinehurst #2). The entry fee also includes Championship gifts, breakfast for three days and two Player Receptions with food and drink.

 

ENTRY ELIGIBILITY, PROCEDURE & INFORMATION

Entries are open to male amateur golfers with one team member who has reached their 25th birthday on or before the first round of competition (March 19th) and one team member who has reached their 55th birthday on or before the first round of competition.  All tournament applicants (both team members) must be a member of a TMGA Member Club or make an annual contribution ($100) to the Trans-Mississippi Golf Association.  *Entries will be accepted in the order they are received at the discretion of the Trans-Mississippi Tournament Committee.

 

FORMAT & DIVISIONS

The Championship will be contested over 54 holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play with two Divisions; Scratch and Handicap.  The scratch division teams will have a combined handicap index at 8.0 and under.  The handicap division will have a combined handicap index over 8.0.  The Junior and Senior players will play from separate tees and yardages, and separate Champions will be recognized in both Divisions.

 

ON-SITE CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION

All competitors must register with Trans-Mississippi Golf Association staff prior to the start of the Championship.  Players that do not register may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION.  Official tournament registration will be held at Pinehurst Resort on TBD.  Competitors who are unable to register on the date and time listed above must contact a TMGA staff member in advance of the Championship.

 

PLAYER RECEPTION

There will be a Player Reception on Saturday, March 20th during the Par-3 contest. The receptions will include food and beverage, and is included in the entry fee.

 

STARTING TIMES & PAIRINGS       

Starting times and pairings for the first and second rounds will be made available no later than Friday, March 12th at 5:00 PM.  Copies will also be distributed at registration, in the Trans-Mississippi Tournament Office and in the Golf Shop.  Final round starting times and pairings will be available in the evening preceding play at www.trans-miss.org, in the Trans-Mississippi Tournament Office and the Golf Shop.  Final round starting times will be re-drawn based on total score following the second round of play.

 

HOST HOTEL

Accommodations at a Pinehurst Resort property for 4 days and 3 nights are included in the individual entry fee (two single rooms per team), and will be made for players once they register online and are confirmed into the field.  Breakfast is included for each morning in the hotel accommodation.

ON-COURSE TRANSPORTATION & CADDIES

Carts on paths for Pinehurst #4, walking and/or caddies for Pinehurst #2, and carts for Pinehurst #8.

 

CLUBHOUSE FACILITIES

Clubhouse Facilities will be available to all competitors for the duration of the Championship.  Player’s will be responsible for lunch purchased during the tournament.  Acceptable forms of payment in the clubhouse will be distributed to players in advance of the championship.  All other food and beverage consumed will be at the competitor’s expense.

 

PRACTICE FACILITIES

Practice Facilities will be available to all competitors for the duration of the Championship.

  

CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION

The Trans-Mississippi Code of Conduct and Dress Code are in effect throughout the Championship.  Violations will be dealt with based on the severity of the misconduct.  All competitors should be familiar with all Trans-Mississippi Conditions of Competitions and Policies.  If you have any questions, please click here for additional information or consult with Trans-Mississippi Tournament Officials.  The Championship will be conducted under the 2021 USGA Rules of Golf, keeping safety in mind. 

 

PARTNER SUBSTITUTION

Partner substitutions for the Trans-Mississippi Junior-Senior Championship are permitted.  Substitutions for teams will be permitted prior to the start of competition and individuals must meet the minimum eligibility requirements for the Trans-Mississippi Golf Association, as well as the specific tournament requirements (i.e., age, USGA Handicap Index, etc.).  A player may not select a substitute partner from those players who are already in the Championship field.  Players who are on the waitlist are eligible substitutions.  Contact Trans-Mississippi staff Amanda Kolb at (469) 458-0806 or email at akolb@trans-miss.org to arrange your team substitutions.

 

WITHDRAWAL & NO SHOW POLICY          

If you find you cannot compete in the Championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting Trans-Mississippi staff Amanda Kolb at (469) 458-0806 or email at akolb@trans-miss.org.  If you do not officially withdraw, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future Trans-Mississippi Championships.  Any team withdrawing prior to Wednesday, February 10th at 5:00 PM Central will receive a full refund, less a $50.00 administrative fee.  Any withdrawals after the Wednesday, February 10th deadline will not receive a refund unless a spot is filled by a team on the wait list in the same division.
