PLAYER INFORMATION
The 2021 NSW Senior Amateur Championship reached its 264-player capacity at the close of entries.
The Championship will be conducted over three 18-hole rounds of Strokeplay at both Shoalhaven Heads and Nowra. All players will play one round at Shoalhaven Heads and Nowra on either Tuesday 20 or Wednesday 21 April, with a cut occurring after round 2.
The cut will be for the top 132 players (based on their 36-hole gross total), which will comprise 36 women and 96 men.
This breakdown is based on the number of male v female entrants at the close of entries. The round 3 draw will be seeded, with no tee time requests being taken.
*** Note there will be no draw requests for the final round as it will be seeded for the Championship ***
Format
Foursomes – Play will be a shot gun start at 11:00am. The format will be 18-holes Foursomes Stroke.
Championship – The format will be 54-holes of Strokeplay over 3 rounds. Play will be from the 1st & 10th Tee from 7am each day.
Practice rounds
Practice rounds can be booked through the pro shop. Shoalhaven Heads (02) 4448 8683 and Nowra Golf Club (02) 4421 3900.
Registration
Please ensure you register prior to your tee time each day. Registration will be in the clubhouse, and you will receive your score card, pin positions and local rules at registration each day.
Tournament Shirt
Tournament shirts will be available to pick up at Shoalhaven Heads only from Tuesday-Thursday.
Rules officials
There will be two roving rules officials on course on each day of play. Please utilise them if you need to.
Food & Beverages - Shoalhaven Heads GC
The following options will be available throughout the tournament:
Breakfast: Available at the club – 7am-10am. Barista coffee and potted teas will be available from 6.30am onward on Tuesday to Thursday.
Lunch: Available at the club – Opening times TBC
$15 food and beverage vouchers will be given to players to be used at Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club from Tuesday to Thursday only.
*Note that you will not be given change for the voucher if the item total is less than $15.
Could you please pre-order your lunches each day when possible to assist kitchen staff with food preparation.
The following MENU items are offered for the event for $15.
1. South Coast Beef Burger with Chips
2. Modern Classic Chicken Caesar Salad
3. Tempura Battered Flathead Tails with Chips and Salad
4. Frittata with Roast Pumpkin, Zucchini, Fetta and Spinach with Salad
In addition, there will be menu priced options available. These being:
1. Selection of premade sandwiches
2. Egg and bacon Rolls
3. Pies and Sausage rolls
4. A selection of muffins, scones, and slices
Food & Beverages - Nowra GC
- Lions Club running the kitchen from 6:30am-2:30pm - For breakfast and lunch
- Sandwiches, pies, and saussage rolls will be available to purchase behind the bar
- Complimentary Tea & Coffee will be available in the morning from 7-8:30am
- Tea and coffee can also be purchased over bar
Use of motorized carts
As per the Terms of Competition, players may only use a motorized cart if a medical certificate is provided. This must be submitted to Golf NSW prior to the tournament. Bookings and payment for carts are the responsibility of the player and must be done through the pro shop at each club.
Presentation
There will be a presentation at the club house at the closing of the tournament.
Withdrawal
If you are unable to participate, please notify us immediately. On presentation of a medical certificate a full refund will be issued, less an administration fee.
