Members Only Match Play

Bracket Draw November 8th following round at Lone Tree

Match 1 completed by November 22nd @ Legacy

  • All brackets will be single elimination, winner take all, 16 players max per flight, $50 entry fee. Live bracket draw following our Lone Tree event November 8th. Registration done via Venmo or cash only prior to bracket draw. Venmo @PGA2020 with your name and match play in the description.
  • All matches are played at gross only. All brackets will be set using the current flight handicap parameters. Champ: better than 1.5, A: 1.6 - 5.5, B: 5.6 - 9.5, C: 9.6 - 13.5, D: 13.6 and up. Handicaps will be the players lowest between October 27th & November 5th, Lone Tree event handicap.
  • All matches will have a 2 week window to be completed, ending on the day of our events. You may play any course at any time within the 2 week window, as agreed upon by both players. You may have your match during our event, but it does not have to be.
  • Both players will receive the contact information of your opponent as soon as the matchup is set. Both players are responsible for setting a time and course to play the match. We believe we have a great group of guys and this should be done in good faith.
  • If you cannot come to an agreement on a time and course to play, the following rules will be applied. If both players are entered into our event on the last day of play, you will be paired together and the match will take place during our event. If only 1 player is entered into our event, they will automatically win the match. If neither player is entered, a coin flip will take place after the round.
  • Players must agree on base tee box using the following parameters. Champ and A flights should play the first tee box under 7,000 yards. B, C, & D flights should look to play around 6,300 yards. Players 60 and over may move up 1 course tee box.
  • Matches that are tied after 18 holes should proceed in the following manner:

1. Work with the course to play extra holes until a winner is declared. 2. Find a suitable location in a practice area to have a sudden death “up & down” competition until a winner is declared. 3. Go to the putting green and have a “putt off” from an agreed upon distance until a winner is declared.

The winner of each match must send a picture of the scorecard with both player signatures to verify match result via text to Jeff @ 623-521-3858 or email to PhoenixGolfAssociation@hotmail.com.
