2-Person, 9 Hole League, Tee times begin at 1:30pm each scheduled Sunday

$44.00 per team ($22 per player), per week

FORMAT: 2-Person Scramble Match Play. Each player will hit their shot from the designated teeing ground, the team will select the best shot, and both will play their next shot within one club length of that spot. This process is continued until the ball is holed. This event is match play, the lowest score wins the hole. If a team is “Up” more holes than are left, they have won the match, yet should play the rest of the nine holes to be eligible for that week’s “side game” (Gross Team Skins, Par 4 Challenge, etc.).

MEN <60 Tees: White, MEN 60+ Tees: Tan, MEN 75+ and LADIES Tees: Teal

Handicap recommended. Team handicap will be determined by 20% of the combined handicap. Players without handicaps play as scratch. Handicaps may be adjusted per week via NEW REVISED FORMULA. Maximum Team Handicap is 9. NEW - PLUS HANDICAPS may occur after adjustments.

Keep in mind that you may place your golf ball within one club length of the selected location for the second shot, no closer to the hole. If the selected location is on the green, you may place your golf ball within 6 inches of the selected location, no closer to the hole. The type of playing surface must not change. For example, the one club length should NOT be used to get the ball out of the rough, out of a hazard, or onto the putting green or fairway.

We do have a special scoring rule in place for this league: DOUBLE BOGEY is your friend. The maximum score you can make on any hole is a double bogey. So if you are putting for double bogey (or two over par) you may pick it up record double bogey on the scorecard and proceed to the next hole.

Gimmie’s & Conceding: Gimmie’s are determined by the team’s opponent and teams may concede at any time during a hole.

TEAMS: Teams consist of two people. There is a limit of 4 substitutions per 9 week season. Substitutes must be named and their GHIN Handicap (if they have one) must be provided by the Saturday before the Sonoma SnowBirdie League.

Team Handicaps are subject to review after each week. We, the committee, have the right to adjust team handicaps each week of The Sonoma SnowBirdie League.

Teams with the most wins advance to the playoffs (tentatively January 24th & 31st, February 21st). The amount of playoff teams will be determined by the total number of teams. The tiebreaker over matches won will be total regular season birdies. Playoff Teams receive Pro Shop Credit dependent on their placement.

Participants must be present on the previous Sunday to be eligible for the weekly raffle items occuring on Wednesday.

Thank you for competing in the 2020-2021 SnowBirdie League.
