Registration 

Registration will be located at the front of the clubhouse and ($20) skins will be collected as well.

Important:  Report to the starting tee no less than 5 minutes prior to your assigned starting time.  There is no call to the tee; it is the player’s responsibility to arrive on time.

 

Food & Beverage:

A players’ reception (spouses are invited to join) is planned for Tuesday evening after play is completed. Denny and Jake are planning to provide a great menu of food and beverage items. During this social activity, members will have an opportunity to compete at a closet to the hole on Hole #3 ($500 to the winner).

 

 

Hole-in-One Contests

During both stipulated rounds, a Hole-in-One contest is located at Hole #3. The first player to score an ace earns $5,000.

Hole-in-One contests will be conducted at all other par 3 holes.

General Information:

The Rules of the United States Golf Association govern play.  This information sheet, the Golf House Kentucky hard card and any site-specific Local Rules and Conditions of Competition sheets are supplements to the Rules of Golf.  Local Rules of the host course do not apply.  The Golf House Kentucky Rules and Competitions Committee, who are charged with conducting this site, shall settle all questions.  Reference to the Rules and Appendix I may be found in the 2016-19 Rules of Golf book.  Unless otherwise noted the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is:  2 Strokes.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:

The PGA of America DOES permit the use of distance-measuring devices for section qualifiers but does not allow them at the national championships.

 

Grooves and Punch Marks Policy:

The PGA of America has adopted the Condition of Competition at the PGA Section level (qualifying stages) for this event. All players must comply with this Condition of Competition. It is the responsibility of the player to check the conformity of his/her equipment prior to the competition.

 

Pace of Play Guidelines and Procedures:

The KPGA uses a pace of play guideline that is available as a separate form.

 

Player/Caddie Carts:

Golf carts are provided for all players. Pull/Push carts are allowed, if preferred. 

 

Practice Range:

The practice range opens at least one hour prior to the first starting time, weather permitting.  Range balls are complimentary for competitors.

 

Qualifying Positions:

The number of qualifying positions for the 2018 PGA Professional Championship for this section will be posted soon. Alternates will also be determined before the competition is completed. (3)

 

Play-off:

In the event of a tie for first place in the championship or for the last qualifying spot, the players concerned shall compete in a hole-by-hole play-off.  The starting hole and time shall be announced at the scoreboard immediately after the Committee has verified the results of the qualifier. 

 

Close of Competition:

The competition shall be deemed to have closed when all scores have been returned and the committee has approved the results.
