HSJGA Mixed Team Four Ball Tournament

Format
Four Ball Match Play: Two partners (One Girl/One Boy) compete together as a side, with each player playing his or her own ball. A side's score for a hole is the lower score of the two partners on that hole. The team with the lower score wins the hole. The team with the most holes won wins the match.
All mathches are played on your island of residence and no interisland travel will be required
Please indicate your partner on the registration form, if you do not have a partner please put down "no Partner" and we will match you up if there is somone else of the oposite gender looking for someone.
Eligibility
Open to HSJGA Members in good standing who have passed the HSJGA Rules Quiz. Juniors are welcomed to “Play-Up” in the event that their division does not meet the minimum number of players, but will automatically be placed on a wait-list and only allowed to play-up if space is available.
Players must have an active and up-to-date Handicap Index that includes all scores on the date of entry. A player with a scoring record that displays an NH is not eligible until scores are entered into the system.
Seeding
Teams will be seeded based on their combined Handicap Index on date on which entries close with any ties being broken by a random draw. Lowest combined Handicap Index will receive the #1 seed and so on.
HSJGA Staff & Volunteer Support
Due to the challenges presented by COVID19, HSJGA Staff and Volunteer Officials will be supporting and available to assist you during your respective matches throughout the competition. More information will be presented in your Player Package.
Entry Fee & Prizes
The event conducted by the HSJGA will cost $20 per individual
Juniors will be responsible for paying greens fees for the golf course of their choosing. Please keep in mind that County Golf Courses have rates ranging from free to $5 throughout the state and should be considered when planning your matches.
Prizes/Awards: Awards will be mailed to participants and a virtual awards ceremony will take place.
Age Divisions & Yardages
*Matches must be played from tees within division guidelines
Girls 13-18: 5,800-6,400 yards
Girls 7-12: 4,500-5,500 yards
Boys 13-18: 6,200-7,000 yards
Boys 7-12: 4,500-5,500 yards
Schedule of Play
HSJGA will communicate each individual match schedule via email.
You will have 1 week to complete your match. Please communicate with HSJGA if you have trouble completing you match in this time.
HSJGA Points
No Points will be awarded for this event
Spectators
SPECTATORS ARE ALLOWED BUT MUST ADHERE TO ALL GOLF COURSE GUIDELINES ON SOCIAL DISTANCING AND MUST ABIDE BY HSJGA CODE OF CONDUCT AND DRESS CODE.
In the event where a spectator is found to be in violation of HSJGA Spectator Policy, the subsequent junior will be removed from the event, no exceptions.
Golf Course Info
The team with the better seed is responsible for choosing the golf course to be played for the match. Please be accomidating to your opponents when it comes to picking a course that gives access to everyone.
All players must follow golf course guidelines related to Covid-19 and practice social distancing throughout their match.
