Format:

18 holes of individual stroke play. Players will play from the Blue tee markers wherever they are situated (see Yardage Information). The low SEVEN individual scores will advance to the 30th California Senior Amateur Championship at Hillcrest Country Club in Los Angeles on November 8-10, 2021. Ties for the final qualifying spot and/or position of alternates will be broken by the USGA recommended method of matching scorecards (Committee Procedures, Section 5A(6)).

 

Competition Schedule:

The first starting time is at 7:50 AM off Hole #1. Players should be at the first tee immediately following the group in front of them.  Please do not congregate near the first tee. Pairings and Starting Times will be posted on or before Wednesday, October 6th.

 

Practice Round Information:

Practice rounds are subject to availability and must be booked through the pro shop in advance. Please contact the course for the most up to date rate information.

 

Food and Beverage Availability:

Baylands Cafe will be open at 7:00 AM. Outside alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

 

Practice Facilities:

The driving range will be open at 6:30 AM. Range balls can be purchased at the player’s expense from Baylands GL.

 

Player Cart Information:

Golf carts are optional at the player’s expense. Cart fee is $16 per person. A maximum of two carts per group is permitted. Spectator carts are prohibited.

 

 

Rules Information

 

Prior to the first day of the event, you must make yourself familiar with the Player Handbook, Hard Card, and Pace of Play Policy. See the above links for policies on Dress Code, Withdrawals, No Shows, and Conditions of Competition. It is the PLAYER’S responsibility to know the Rules and Conditions of the Competition.

 

Transportation:

Automotive Transportation is optional at the player’s expense (see Player Cart Information above).

 

Scoring:

Players must download the USGA TM app (or GolfGenius). The GGID for the group will be emailed with the pairings, texted to the players the day prior, and available with the starter. At least one player in the group will be assigned to keep scores for all players in the pairing. A scorecard will be provided by the starter and will be the official scorecard. The mobile scoring is unofficial.

 

Footwear:

Non-metal spikes required.  Shoes with traditionally designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (when such metal comes in contact with the surface of the putting green) are prohibited.  Penalty for breach of this condition:  See Rule 4.3a. See Model Local Rule G-7.
