Discontinue play if you see lighting.

  1. This a NET Match Play event.  Review your scorecard so you know who is getting strokes on a hole prior to teeing off on that hole.  Each match is a six hole match with the lowest net score winning the hole and the match decided by which team or individual player wins the most holes.

  2. One team will update the live scoring on Golf Genius and the other team will use the scorecard for comparison at the end of each match.  Please determine which team will do which method of scoring prior to starting the tournament.  Both teams will validate paper scorecard with Live scoring and a member of each team will sign the card before turning the card into the Scoring Table.

  3. Your first six holes will be Best Ball (yellow highlighted holes).  You and your partner will play the opposing team for the low score on each hole.    There is one point for this match and ties result in one half point to each team.  Handicaps will apply for these six holes.  The card will indicate the player that gets strokes with a dot on that hole.  Record the gross score in the box with the dot.  Determine the hole winner using the applied stroke.
    1. IF YOU ARE SURE YOUR PARTNER HAS BETTERED YOUR SCORE ON A PARTICULAR HOLE, YOU MAY PICK UP.  IF YOU ARE HAVING EXTREME DIFFICULTY ON A PARTICULAR HOLE, THE ABOVE OPTION IS RECOMMENDED TO IMPROVE THE PACE OF PLAY.

  4. Your second six holes with be Scramble (pink highlighted holes).  You and your partner will play the opposing team for the low scramble score on each hole.  There is one point for this match and ties result in one half point for each team.  Handicaps will apply for these six holes.  The card will indicate the team that gets strokes with a dot on that hole.  Record the gross score in the box with the dot.  Determine the hole winner using the applied stroke.
    1. Both players tee off.  The team chooses the best drive and both players play from that spot within one club length no nearer the hole and one putter head length on the green.  This continues until the ball is in the cup.  You may clean and replace you ball for this scramble event.

  5. Your last six holes will be an individual Match play (green highlighted holes).  Each match is worth one point and ties result in one half point per individual match. Player 1 will play Player 3 and Player 2 will play Player 4.   Handicaps will apply for these six holes.  The card will indicate the player that gets strokes with a dot on that hole.  Record the gross score in the box with the dot.  Determine the hole winner using the applied stroke.

  6. During this match play competition if the match is decided prior to the completion of the six hole event you may continue to play as long you are keeping pace with the group ahead of you.

  7. The team with the most points at the end of the competition will be the cup champions.  If the 2021 cup competition results in a tie, the Kalamazoo Women’s Golf Association will retain the cup as KWGA was the 2020 winner.
