Listed below is IMPORTANT tournament information.  Please read carefully.

Format:  36 holes stroke play; 18 holes per day.   

 

Start Times:

Sunday, July 18 – Tee Times on holes #1 and #10 starting at 12:00 p.m.

Monday, July 19 - Tee Times on holes #1 and #10 starting at 8:00 a.m.

 

Schedule:

There will be no registration. Players should arrive at their designated tee at least 10 minutes prior to their start time, but not until the group in front of them has cleared the teeing area.

 

Drinking Water: 

Please bring water to stay hydrated. Waters will be available for the players on the first and 10th tee. 

 

Time of Starting:  Players are responsible for showing up and ready to play on time at their correct tee. The player will be penalized for arriving after their time and disqualified for showing up after 4 minutes 59 seconds after their starting time.  The official starting times will be posted at jtnc.org.

 

Range:  The range will be available no more than 30 minutes before the players tee time. Each Player will only be allowed 10 minutes to warm up due to the split tee starting times. The range will be monitored. Once your time has passed you will be asked to leave the range. One small bucket only will be available for each player to warm up on the driving range.  As an additional option Jack Tone Driving Range is not far from the course if you do not want to risk waiting for a spot to warm up.

 

Sunday:  The range will open to JTNC players at 11:30 a.m.

Monday:  The range will open at 7:30 a.m.

 

Practice RoundPractice rounds are available but with limited availabilty. Starting on July 13th through July 16th practice rounds will be available from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm. July 15th no practice rounds will be available, and July 17th practice rounds will be avaible after 3:00 pm. Player cost is $55 on weekdays and $65 on weekends. The cart fee is $18 per player. Please contact the golf shop at 209-599-3258 for tee time availability.

 

Food Service:  Sunday, a box lunch will be available starting at 11:30 am.  Monday a box lunch will be available when players complete their round.

 

Restaurant:  The restaurant will be closed to all non-Spring Creek Golf and Country Club members. The snack bar will be open both Sunday and Monday to all JTNC players and parents. Credit card or reciprocal club charge is available at the snack bar and at the golf shop. Cash is not accepted at the club.

 

Second Round Pairings Second round pairings will be available after all first round scores are posted. 

 

Rules of Play:  The 2021 USGA Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the JTNC rules card.  The committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed on the tournament days. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition. 

 

Walking:  Players must walk at all times, except as authorized by the Committee.  Caddies are not permitted.  Pull or push carts are permitted.  Spectator carts are prohibited. Handicap carts will be available at $18 per person. Individuals must have either a handicap placard or a doctor’s note to be cleared by the JTNC staff before purchasing the cart. Dress Code:  Players and Spectators must be properly attired both on the golf course and on the premises of the club.  Blue jeans, designer jeans, T-shirts and tank tops are prohibited.  Golf shirts must be worn and shorts must be of appropriate length (no jean shorts).  This dress code will be used at all JTNC competitions in conjunction with any additional dress code restrictions of the particular golf course involvedA violation of this dress code must be rectified without undue delay or the player will not be allowed to continue play. Spectators violating will be asked to change or leave the club.

 

SpectatorsSpectators must wear proper attire while at the club.  Please see the Dress Code policy above.  Food service will not be available at the restaurant, only at the snack bar.

 

The use of electronic devices should be limited to areas where their use will not distract players on the course.  Spectators must maintain at least 25 yards from the players and avoid even the appearance of imparting advice or assisting the player in any way.  A spectator may approach a player briefly to hand clothing, food or beverages to the player, but should not have prolonged conversations.  Please walk ahead of the group you are following and stay in the rough or near the cart paths.  Do not delay groups by walking slowly.  Spectators must stay off the greens and out of the bunkers at all times.  Spectators violating these policies may be asked to leave the course.  Spectators are prohibited from using golf carts.

 

Ties:  In the event of ties, there will be a play-off for first place for Championship Flights only. Ties for second and third will be decided using the USGA’s method for matching cards if not already determind by the play-off.  In a competition with a multiple tee start, the last nine holes will be holes 10-18.

 

Footwear: The Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule G-7. Penalty for breach of Local Rule – see Rule 4.3. 

 

Withdrawals & No ShowsPlayers who enter a JTNC event and wish to withdraw for any reason MUST notify the JTNC/NCGA staff at the Rules and Competitions department at (831) 625-4653. Failure to notify the JTNC/NCGA will result in a NO SHOW and the player will receive a one-year suspension from all JTNC events for the following calendar year following the infraction. A player who only contacts the course and NOT the JTNC/NCGA will incur the suspension.
