Del Monte does not have a driving range.  Other ranges include Bayonet/Blackhorse GC, Laguna Seca GC and Monterey Pines GC. We recommend the Bayonet/ Blackhorse range; it is a big practice facility and easy to get to on the way into town.  The putting green is open for pre round warm up.

Poppy Hills GC

The range will be available to players for a BRIEF warmup prior to their rounds.Players will need to go to the pro shop to get a ticket to recieve balls from the ball machine. The putting green is closed due to renovations. There is a practice chipping green next to Hole #18 and a practice putting green next to Hole #10 Tee Box avaible instead.

Time of Starting:  Players are responsible for showing up and ready to play on time to their correct tee. The player will be penalized for arriving after their time and disqualified for showing up after 4 minutes 59 seconds after their starting time.  The official starting time will be posted at jtnc.org.

Second Round Pairings:  Second round groupings and starting times will be available after all first round scores are posted. The groupings and starting times will be available at www.jtnc.org on the player information page.

Rules of Play:  The 2021 USGA Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the JTNC rules card.  The committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed on the tournament days. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition.

Scoring: Players are expected to download the USGA TM app (or GolfGenius). If you have previously downloaded the app please make sure you have the most up to date version. The player GGID is available on the scorecard PDF available above and will be given to you on the first tee by the starter.

  •  DURING THE ROUND - Within the group, players will be marking for one other player (just as you would with a paper scorecard). The electronic scorecard has a section for "Marker's Notes". This is the equivalent to the tear strip at the top of a scorecard where the marker may keep his or her own scores.
  •  WHEN IS ROUND IS COMPLETED - At the end of the round, all players in the group must report any rules issues to the committee and confirm hole-by-hole scores are correct.  If there are any discrepancies between your "Marker's Notes" and the scores your marker entered for you, they will be highlighted in yellow.
  • CERTIFYING SCORES - Once all scores are correct you will be prompted to "Certify as Marker" and then you will move to "My Scores", located at the top of your screen, and then be prompted to "Certify as Player".  This is the equivalent of signing a paper scorecard and satisfies the requirements of Rule 3.3b. Scores will be considered to be official and returned once the player has left the defined scoring area, the scoring area will be defined within The Notice to Players.
  • Staff contact information is available in the Notice to Players linked above if you have any questions after your round.
  • For guidance using the Mobile Scoring App, please see this training sheet.
