DALLAS, Texas (January 19, 2021) – The Amateur Golf Alliance is proud to announce that the 2021 AGA Women’s’ Amateur Championship will be conducted at Forest Creek Golf Club in Pinehurst, NC on May 25-28, 2021.  “After a successful inaugural event during the COVID crisis, we are excited to bring back this important women’s amateur championship to the home of golf in the US, Pinehurst, NC” stated AGA President Alan Fadel.  The 2020 championship crowned two recognized champions in the women’s amateur game and hope with COVID relief on the way, the tournament will again attract a strong field of top amateur players.  “As with last year’s championship we will make every effort to ensure the safety of all involved, while conducting a first-class championship.  Forest Creek will be a wonderful host venue and provide a true test for the tournament.", noted AGA executive director Rob Addington.

 

The field will be limited to 72 players, who have reached their 23rd birthday or are out of college eligibility playing 54 holes of stroke play competition.  The championship entries will open on February 10, 2021 at 9:00 am (Central) along with full tournament details can found on the AGA website at www.amateurgolfalliance.org under the championship tab.
