Britt Sloan MAPGA Players Cup
This is a Player of the Year Points Event for the Open, Senior and Women's Categories
Eligibility: MAPGA Members (except A-3 and Inactive) and Associates with playing privileges and in good standing as of the entry deadline and tournament date.
Start Times: Tee Times starting at approximately 8:00 AM. Pairings will be based on the 2021 Player of the Year rankings for the first round. More details will be known closer to event date.
Format: 36 holes of Individual Stroke Play.
Optional Senior Division: Participants age 50 and over as of October 21, 2019 will have the option of competing in either the Regular Division or in the Senior Division, which will be divided into three sub-divisions based on age: 50 & over; 60 & over; 70 & over (you may play down in age, e.g. a 70 year old may choose to play in the 50 & over or 60 & over age group). This applies even if the participant earned eligibility through performance in a non-senior tournament.
Those seniors wishing to compete in the Senior Division shall compete from separate tees and play for a separate purse based on the percentage of seniors in each age division versus the rest of the field. All male seniors will play from the same tees. The overall low score in the Senior Division, regardless of age, will be the winner of the Senior Division, and will win first place money from his/her age sub-division. Any ties in a sub-division, other than for the overall low score in the Senior Division, will share prize money. There must be a minimum of five seniors to have a Senior Division and three players in a sub-division. If there are less than three in a sub-division, the senior(s) has the option to play in a younger sub-division, the Regular Division, or withdraw (with a full refund).
Tees: There will be four sets of tees with Regular Women and Senior Women playing at approximately 85% of the distance of Regular Men and Senior Men, respectively. Any male or female age 70 and over will play from 85% of the distance of the longest set off tees for that gender.
Ties: Ties for first place in the Regular Division or the Senior Division will be decided by a sudden death playoff immediately after play; the winner of which will receive first place prize money and Player of the Year points. All other ties will split prize money and Player of the Year points.
Optional Contests: There will be an optional $100.00 Players Pool (30% of Players Pool entrants paid) and an optional $40 skins game ($20 goes to each round). Skins will be awarded each round. There will be one skins game for all Seniors.
