FORMAT

One round of 18 holes of four-ball stroke play. Use 85% of each player’s Course Handicap, taking the strokes as they fall on the scorecard.Pairings made by the Committee. Trophies awarded to the members of the low gross team. Ties for the trophies will be decided by an immediate hole-by-hole playoff beginning on the first hole. If a player/team leaves and is supposed to be in a playoff she is DQ’d from the playoff, but not from the tournament. If one player/team remains, she will be declared the winner. If both leave, then it will be a match of cards. Ties for the low net team prize will be decided by matching cards. The winner will be determined on the basis of the best net score for the last nine holes of the second day. If still tied, the winner will be determined on the basis of the best net score for the last six holes, the last three holes and finally the 18th hole. One-half, one-third, one-sixth and one-eighteenth of each player’s Course Handicap will be deducted to determine the best net score as applicable. If a tie is not broken by this procedure, a winner will be determined by blind draw

Tamarack has a lightning detection system. In the event of lightning near the golf course, we will follow Tamarack’s recommended procedures. One long blast will signal players to immediately discontinue play. Three blasts will signal players to resume play. Although bad weather is not of itself a good reason for discontinuing play, a player is permitted to discontinue play at any time she herself believes there is a danger from lightning. The WMGA strongly endorses each individual’s attention, vigilance, and care in this regard, to one’s own safety.

COVID-19 PROCEDURES (See attached)

Tamarack requires all guests to adhere to and follow all government mandates and protocols to ensure social distancing. Any player violating such protocols will be asked to leave the tournament and premises. See attached COVID Procedures for more information.
