Entry & Eligibility Information


Entries Open: Monday, May 03, 2021 at 10:00 AM
Entries Close: Thursday, July 08, 2021 at 04:00 PM

 

Entry Fee: $200/team; includes carts and range balls for both players.

Eligibility: This tournament is open to amateur or professional fathers and sons or step sons, at least one of whom on each team must be a member of a MSGA member club. Each amateur player must have an up-to-date USGA Index at a licensed club.  The handicap index must be at the club shown on the entry form, must be current on the date of the event, and must be viewable on the verification site of www.msga.org. Entries are subject to rejection by the MSGA at any time, including during the competition.  The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct, such as violation of host club policies, or failure to comply with the requirements of the handicap system.

 

Refund Policy: A withdrawal prior to seven days of the event will receive a refund minus a $25.00 processing feeThere will not be a refund if a withdrawal is received less than seven days prior to the event without written medical excuse.

Championship Information


Format/Field Size: The tournament will be 18 holes Four-Ball Stroke Play. The net winner competition will be 18 holes Four-Ball Stroke Play and will be conducted over a shorter course, approximately 300-500 yards shorter.

 

Starting Times: Tournament Starting Times will be emailed approximately 10 days before the event. Times can also be found by visiting the 2021 Father-Son Championship Tournament Portal or www.msga.org.

 

Prizes: The winner will be the team with the low gross score and the names of the team members will be engraved on the “Nathan H. Kaufman Memorial” Trophy.  Appropriate net prizes will also be awarded.  In the event of a tie for low gross score, a hole-by-hole play-off will immediately follow the completion of play.  A team may win only one prize. There will be no professional prize purse.
