CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION

PLAYER CHECK-IN
All competitors must check-in with Golf NB prior to their first round of competition.  Players that do not check-in may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION.

 

Players may check in with Golf NB in the Tournament Officer located at the host club.

  • July 3, 2021 - 2:00pm to 6:00pm
  • July 4, 2021 - 7:00 am until the last tee time at Royal Oaks. 

 


ELIGIBILITY AND COMPETITIONS
The event is open to Amateur Female Golfers. 


Competitions: The championship has multiple division/competitions.

  • Amateur: The Amateur Category is open to all competitors.  All players must be members in good standing of a recognized golf association and in possession of a "Golf NB/Golf Canada Membership Card" or a recognized national equivalent.
     
  • Mid-Amateur: All entrants should have reached the age of 25 on or before July 20, 2021.  All players must be members in good standing of a recognized golf association and in possession of a "Golf NB/Golf Canada Membership Card" or a recognized national equivalent.
     
  • Senior: All entrants should have reached the age of 50 on or before July 20, 2021.  All players must be members in good standing of a recognized golf association and in possession of a "Golf NB/Golf Canada Membership Card" or a recognized national equivalent.
     
  • Super Senior: All entrants should have reached the age of 60 on or before July 20, 2021. All players must be members in good standing of a recognized golf association and in possession of a "Golf NB/Golf Canada Membership Card" or a recognized national equivalent.
     
  • Platinum: All entrants should have reached the age of 70 on or before July 20, 2021. All players must be members in good standing of a recognized golf association and in possession of a "Golf NB/Golf Canada Membership Card" or a recognized national equivalent.


A player may win multiple championships, provided they meet the age requirements as set forth by Golf NB and Golf Canada (i.e., Senior aged participants are eligible to be named NB Amateur Ladies, Mid-Amateur Ladies & NB Senior Ladies Champion, etc.).

 


FIELD SIZE
A maximum of 120 participants, combined entrants in the Amateur, Senior, and Super Senior Championships will be accepted.  If greater than 120 entries are received, Golf NB reserves the right to expand the field to accommodate additional entries.

 

 

EXEMPTIONS
The top 10 overall finishers from the 2019 NB Ladies Provincial Championships have earned exemptions into the 2021 NB Ladies Provincial Championships.  Exempt players will have until the closing of registration to claim their exemption, otherwise it will be forfeited, and the position will be filled on a first come first serve basis.  As a result of their play in 2019, the following individuals have earned exemptions for this year’s event.

FORMAT
The NB Ladies Provincial Championships is a 54-Hole stroke play championship open to amateur female golfers. The event is played in 18-hole stipulated rounds over three consecutive days.

 


OFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUND
All players are entitled to one complimentary practice round at the Royal Oaks Golf Club during the week prior to the championship.  Available tee times will be established at the discretion of the host club.  Please call 506-388-6257 to book a practice round. Competitors are entitled to only one complimentary practice round.

 

PLAYER MEETING
There will be no player meeting as part of this event.

 

STARTING TIMES AND DRAW INFORMATION      

Starting times for the first round will be made available on the Golf NB website 2 to 3 days prior to the event as well as being e-mailed to each participant. Final Round starting times will be e-mailed to competitors, posted on the Golf NB website, and posted on the Tournament Information Page once they are prepared. 

In general, players can anticipate the following as it pertains to the establishment of pairings and tee times for the event.


Round 1:

  • First-round pairings will be available 2-3 days prior to the first round of competition. 
  • Tee times will begin at 7:30 am with players being paired in groups of three.
  • Groups will tee off in nine (9) minute intervals.
  • Round 1 tee-times will be made based on handicaps from low to high. If entered, the defending champion will tee-off in the first group.
  • First-round tee time will be e-mailed to competitors, posted on the Golf NB website, and posted on the Tournament Information Page once they are prepared.


Round 2:

  • Tee times will begin between at 7:30am with players being paired in groups of three.
  • Groups will tee off in nine (9) minute intervals.
  • Round 2 tee-times will be established by score with the high scores teeing off first.   
  • Round 2 tee time will be e-mailed to competitors, posted on the Golf NB website, and posted on the Tournament Information Page once they are prepared.

PRACTICE FACILITIES

Practice Facilities at the club will be available to all tournament players for the duration of the Championship. Complimentary range balls will be provided to participants prior to each competitive round. 

 


PRIZES 
Golf NB Gift Certificates will be provided to prize winners, with the total amount depending on the size of the field.


Gross and Net Prizes will be awarded by Age Categories and Divisions.  Competitors are eligible to win only one prize (net or gross) with the prize awarded being of the highest value of those for which they may qualify. A competitor may, however, be declared the champion of more than one competition, e.g., Amateur & Senior Champion, but will receive only one prize.

 


EVENT TEES & YARDAGES
The 2021 NB Ladies Provincials will be contested from one set of tees, regardless of age category, and will be established a length that is appropriate for both Amateur & Senior competitors.  

 

Competitors can anticipate playing the following club tees and yardages.  Final tee placements will be determined by the Golf NB Rules Committee Chair prior to the competition.  

  • A combination of “RED” & “GREEN” tees will be used from the following maximum yardages;

PROVINCIAL TEAM & EXEMPTIONS FOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • Provincial Team Selection Guidelines
    • Interprovincial Competitions at all National Championships have been canceled for 2021 (CLICK HERE).  
       
  • Provincial Team Funding Policy
    • In lieu of the cancellation of Inter-Provincial Team Competitions at National Championships, for the 2021 season Golf NB will provide travel subsidies, in the amounts equivalent to those outlined in the Provincial Team Funding Policy, to the top age eligible New Brunswick finishers at the NB Ladies Provincial Championships under the following guidelines / restrictions;
       

      • Ladies Amateur - Top 3 New Brunswick finishers in the Overall Competition.
        • Players MUST finish as one of the Top 3 NB players in the Overall Championship. 
        • If the player is of Senior, or Mid-Amateur, they can also access funding for the Canadian Women's Mid-Senior Championship.
           
      • Ladies Senior - Top 3 New Brunswick finishers in the Senior Competition.
        • Players MUST finish as one of the Top 3 NB players in the NB Ladies Senior Championship.
           
      • Ladies Mid-Amateur - The top finisher between 25 & 49 years of age only.
        • Player MUST be Top finishing NB player between 24 & 49 years of age.

 

Notes:

  1. To receive funding players MUST participate in their respective National Championship for which their earned the subsidy.
  2. Players may access funding for multiple National Championships, provided they are “age eligible” and meet the qualification standards as outline above.
  3. Funding is “None-Transferable”.  Should a qualifying player does not participate in their respective National Championships, the subsidy WILL NOT be passed on to the next available player.
  4. Players are responsible to make their own arrangements for tournament registration, travel, and accommodations.

 

  • Quota / Exemption Position Guidelines
    • In 2021 Golf Canada has awarded Golf NB the following exemptions into their various National Championships;
      • Canadian Women's Amateur Championship - 7
      • Canadian Women's Mid-Senior Championship - 7 (6 Senior & 1 Mid-Amateur)

 


NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL

If you find you cannot compete in the championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting Golf NB at (506) 451-1324 or by email at info@golfnb.ca. Entry fees will not be refunded after the application deadline without a medical certificate. Entry fees will be refunded, less a $25 administrative fee, if Golf NB is notified of a player’s intention to withdraw prior to the application deadline. If you do not officially withdraw, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future Golf NB and Golf Canada competitions.
