2021 NEVADA STATE AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
DATES: July 16-18, 2021
LOCATION: Red Hawk Golf and Resort - The Hills Course
TEE TIMES:
- Round 1 - Friday, July 16, 2021 - 10:00 am Tee-Times
- Round 2 - Saturday, July 17, 2021 - 8:00 am Tee-Times
- Round 3 - Sunday, July 18, 2021 - 8:30 am Shotgun (Top 3 Groups on Leaderboard will start on Hole #1)
FORMAT: 54-Hole Individual Stroke Play (No Cut)
PRACTICE ROUND: Thursday afternoon - Call Red Hawk Golf and Resort and ask for Todd, Ken or Gabe to set up a tee-time 775-626-4599 (Not included in entry fee).
CADDIES: Caddies are allowed for the event. We will be enforcing the "One Seat" rule; only the caddie or the player may ride in or on the cart at any one time during the play of a hole. Between holes the players and caddies may both ride in or on the cart.
SPECTATORS: Spectators will be allowed, but there are no spectators carts that will be available at the facility to rent.
PROJECTED YARDAGES: 6,800 - 7,100. Please note that yardages will vary each day to provide a different test for players each day.
ENTRY FEE: $380 - Includes your three rounds of golf, range access, prize fund, and lunch for the three days of the tournament.
REGISTRATION:
- Invitations will be sent out on Monday, March 15, 2021.
- Each Association has until Wednesday, June 16, 2021 to fill their allocated spots.
- Thursday, June 17, 2021 registration is available to all members of each Association.
- During this time spots will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
- Entries close on July 12, 2021 at 8:00 PM.
INVITATIONS WILL BE SENT TO:
- Top 10 players from the previous year's Championship (Michael Sarro, Hazen Newman, Ben Sawaia, Zac Frazier, J.J. Gresco, Charlie Magruder, Craig Erickson, Cameron Barzekoff, Brett Sawaia, Canon Olkowski, Jake Ruttenbur)
- Reigning State Match Play Champion (Tyson Lund)
- Reigning State Mid-Am Champion (Kenny Ebalo)
- Champions from the past five years (Michael Sarro 2020, J.J. Gresco 2019, Alex Jordan 2018, Daren Johnson 2017, 2016 Champion Ineligible)
- Up to four junior player exepmtions based on resumes reviewed and approved by the State Championship Committee.
- Up to four State Championship Committee special invitees based on playing resumes approved by the State Championship Committee.
- The remaining 36 players will be split between associations, 18 each, to be determined by however the association shall choose (Points races, qualifiers, tournament winners, etc.)
- Players must be active members of either the Southern or Northern Nevada Golf Associations to be eligible to compete
REFUND POLICY: After the established deadline for a state event, players can only receive a refund if there is a waiting list of players and a waitlisted player agrees to play. Cases such as a death in the family or serious illness such as hospitalization can be reviewed on a case by case basis.
NOTE: There will be an automatic $25 processing fee associated with any refund issued for a cancellation prior to the registration closing date
