2021 NEVADA STATE WOMEN'S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

 

DATES:  July 17-18, 2021

 

LOCATION:  Red Hawk Golf and Resort - The Lakes Course

 

TEE TIMES: 

  • Round 1 - Saturday, July 17, 2021 - 8:30 am Shotgun
  • Round 2 - Sunday, July 18, 2021 - 8:30 am Shotgun (Top Groups in Championship Division will start on Hole #1)

 

FORMAT:  36-Hole Individual Stroke Play (No Cut)

 

DIVISIONS:  Championship Division (Scratch Only) | Silver State Division (Scratch and Net)

 

PROJECTED YARDAGES: Championship Division (5,700 - 6,100) | Silver State Division (5,200 - 5,500) Please note that yardages will vary each day to provide a different test for players each day.

 

PRACTICE ROUND:  Friday afternoon - Call Red Hawk Golf and Resort to set up a tee-time 775-626-6000 (Not included in entry fee.)

 

ENTRY FEE:  $265- Includes your two rounds of golf, range access, prize fund, and lunch for the two days of the tournament.

 

REGISTRATION: 

  • Saturday, April 17, 2021 registration is available to all members of each Association.
    • Spots will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
  • Entries close on July 12, 2021 at 8:00 PM.

 

ELIGIBILITY:  To compete in the NSGA Women’s Amateur Championship, a player must:

  • Be a member in good standing of the Northern or Southern Nevada Golf Association.
  • Must have played in a Northern or Southern Nevada Golf Association Tournament, a member club tournament or Nevada Junior Golf or Nevada High School Tournament within the last 12 months before State Amateur.
  • Must have a verifiable handicap index unless you are a Jr Golfer 17 years or under.
  • Must meet Amateur Status as specified by the Rules of Golf.
  • Junior Golfers age 17 and under as of July 17, 2021 are eligible to play in the Championship Division only (Juniors under the age of 17 will have to be invited to play.)

  • Golfers age 18 or over as of July 17, 2021 may choose which division they would like to play in and therefore which course yardage they would like to play.

  • The maximum handicap allowed for this Championship is a course handicap of 36. Players with a higher handicap may play but will be limited to a 36.

 

REFUND POLICY:  After the established deadline for a state event, players can only receive a refund if there is a waiting list of players and a waitlisted player agrees to play.  Cases such as a death in the family or serious illness such as hospitalization can be reviewed on a case by case basis
