WEATHER GUIDELINES

 

1. If the course is open for play, the VGA Tournament will proceed as scheduled. However, per Rule 6.8.a (ll), a player may discontinue play if he/she believes there is danger from lightning.
    
2. Any delays or cancellation of a tournament will be determined by the golf course and their staff in conjunction with the VGA State Director. If a course becomes unplayable during a tournament, the tournament may be declared official if all players in a flight have played at least nine holes, no matter the combination.
    
3. If a tournament is canceled, a makeup date will be announced as soon as one is determined. Refunds will not be issued, but registrations can be applied to the scheduled makeup date or the next available tournament.
