The Keefer Cup is one of the WDCGA’s longest running events. The tournament is a two-day (thirty-six hole) stroke play event held at Chevy Chase Club. The low gross score wins the tournament, but prizes are awarded for gross and net places.

Use of carts is restricted to those who have a medical excuse or are over the age of 65. Pull carts are not allowed.  You may take a club caddie, bring your own caddie or carry your own bag. Cell phones, PDAs, Blackberrys, etc. are NOT allowed on the club premises including the golf course.

 

From the 1937 Schedule Book: “April 28-29, Wednesday and Thursday–Mrs. Frank Royer Keefer Cup. Chevy Chase Club. 36 holes medal play. Handicap limit 16. Open to all Clubs of the District of Columbia and Maryland Associations. Fee $1.00.”
