The Cathey Cup was originated in 2017 by Marcia Cathey, a member of Army Navy Country Club. Marcia is an active member of both the WDCGA and The ARFAX Women’s Golf Association. Marcia wanted to sponsor a tournament in order to help promote and support women’s golf in the Metropolitan DC area.
