SCORING

    • Matches are worth 10 points (1pt-hole, 1pt-match, ½ points awarded for ties)
    • Handicaps are played at 80% of Course Handicap
    • Players must write down the gross score on the scorecard. If a player does not complete a hole, the MOST LIKELY SCORE or NET DOUBLE BOGEY is recorded for handicap posting. There should be 4 Scores/hole written on the Scorecard.
    • Scores will be posted to the GHIN System

STARTING TIMES

    • Tee times start at 3pm to 5:30pm in May and August - 3:30pm to 6pm in June & July

3 PERSON TEAMS/SUBS

For those teams that have more than 2 players rostered or if you have a sub, let the golf    shop     know by noon who will be playing that day so scorecards, pairings, and handicaps can be             finalized

HANDICAPS

    • All Players must have a current handicap card
    • 28 (Course Handicap) is the Maximum Handicap for Leagues
    • The Blue and White Tees will be used each week; handicaps will be adjusted accordingly.

Exception:

Senior Competitors (55 & Over as of 5/1/21):  If your Handicap Index + Age = 70 or more you will play from the White Tees for the season.

It is the player’s responsibility to double check the accuracy of the dots/handicaps on the scorecard.

MAKE UP MATCHES and NO SHOWS

Make-up matches allowed but must be completed within 2 weeks of the original match date.   Teams may play matches in advance.  A team only needs one player to be able to play a match or find a sub to eliminate a forfeit.  No make-up matches allowed after August 12th.

Any Thursdays that are cancelled due to rain or inclement weather and matches are unable to be completed on a scheduled night, teams will have until August 12th to complete the match

If a team is a no show for a Thursday night match, they will receive “0” points.  Their opponents will have the following options:

  1. Take an automatic 6 points for a forfeit or….
  2. Play 9 holes and compete against PAR to try to accumulate as many points as they can

A team must decide prior to tee off which option they would like to do

OUT OF BOUNDS/LOST BALL

To help speed up play you will be allowed a 3 minute maximum search time.

If you believe your ball may be out of bounds or lost, please proceed under one of the        following two options:

Option #1:  Play a provisional ball

Or proceed under the following local rule E-5

Option #2:  When a player’s ball has not been found or is known or virtually certain to be out of bounds, the player may proceed as follows rather than proceeding under stroke and distance.

For TWO PENALTY STROKES, the player may take relief by dropping a ball in the relief area between the point at where the ball is estimated to have come to rest or gone out of bounds and the edge of the fairway of the hole being played that is not nearer the hole.

PENALTY AREAS

NATIVE GRASS – All Native Grass areas are considered red penalty areas.  The edge of the penalty area is where the native grass and general area (mowed rough) meet.  Proceed under rule 17.1.1d.  (Drop a ball no nearer the hole within 2 club-lengths from where the original ball last crossed the edge of the penalty area)

ROCK RULE

If your ball is located on or near a rock that imposes a threat to you, your fellow players, and/or your equipment, you may move your ball to the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole, that   still maintains the integrity (shot value) of the original lie. (i.e. If you were behind a tree with your original lie, you must still be behind the tree after taking relief)

CONCEDING – A player may concede the hole being played or putt at any time.
