31st NWAGA Scramble

Scotts Bluff Country Club

August 23-24, 2021

FORMAT

36-hole Gross four-person modified scramble. In a Scramble, each player plays from the teeing area on each hole, one of the tee shots is selected and all the players play their second shots from that spot. One of the second shots is then selected, and all players play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed. This format is modified as follows: The player whose shot is selected does not play the next shot (exception: on the putting green, all team members may putt). Each team member must contribute at least four tee shots.

ELIGIBILITY

Entrant must be a member of NWAGA or a female member of Nebraska Junior Golf. Entrant must also be a resident of Nebraska (see below) with an up-to-date USGA Handicap Index® issued by a “member club” of the Nebraska Golf Association. All players must conform to the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by the United States Golf Association and The R&A.

An individual is considered a resident of Nebraska if they: a) maintain either a primary or a secondary residence in Nebraska, or b) are an active duty member of the United States Military stationed in Nebraska, or c) are a student physically attending college in Nebraska within a time period four-months prior to the event, or d) are a graduate of a Nebraska high school attending an out-of-state college. DETERMINING TIES

Any first place ties for overall Gross and Gross flights will be determined by a scorecard play-off using the following method as recommended by the USGA.

Scorecard Play-Off Procedure: The winner will be based on the best score for the last round. If the tying sides have the same score for the last round or if the competition consists of a single round, the winner will be determined based on the score for holes 10-18, holes 13-18, holes 16-18 and finally the 18th hole. If there is still a tie, then the last six holes, three holes and final hole of the first nine holes will be considered in turn. If the round is less than 18 holes, the number of holes used in matching scores may be adjusted.

SCORE POSTING

Scramble scores are not eligible to post for handicap purposes.
