Golf Saskatchewan shares in your concerns about the COVID-19 epidemic and its impact on everyday life in Saskatchewan. The health and wellness of all Golf Saskatchewan members, volunteers and staff are of the highest priority. Upon resumption of event administration, many of our normal practices will change to protect the safety of everyone on-site at an event.

GENERAL

  • Golf Saskatchewan will work with host facilities to ensure proper sanitizing practices are in place for unavoidable touchpoints such as golf carts, practice golf balls and bathrooms. These practices are listed in the most recent version of the Re-Open Saskatchewan and can be viewed at the following link. Golf Course Guideline
    • UPDATE: For July 2021, the restrictions for golf have been revised. A number of changes have been revised including the play of golf. Basically we can go back to playing normal golf, while adhering to social distancing measures. *

  • Field sizes may be modified so each player will have his or her own golf cart (if event allows riding in golf carts).
  • Golf Saskatchewan staff and volunteers will always adhere to social distancing guidelines and we ask others do the same while around these individuals.
  • To limit the total number of individuals on-site at an event:
    • Caddies may be permitted (we will work with each event location and communicate with the field before the championship begins.)
    • It is requested spectators be limited as much as possible.
      • All spectators will maintain strict social distancing guidelines including while in or around the clubhouse and on the course.
