Amy Graham was a GAM intern for two summers, the first in 2007 and again in 2010.  From Bloomfield Village, Michigan, she was an intercollegiate Volleyball player at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Following graduation, she worked teaching English to high schoolers and played volleyball overseas in France and Austria. She embraced northern Quebec on the Hudson Bay where she became an Activity Director with Innuit and Cree Indian youth. After completing her Masters of Education at the University of Toronto, she joined the international non-profit organization, Right to Play, working and training new program directors throughout Ontario.  Empowering young people was Amy’s calling.

It is fitting to have an internship at the GAM Foundation to support Youth on Course activities in Amy’s memory as youth and sports were vital areas of interest for her.  Sadly, we lost Amy in the summer of 2020, another casualty of the coronavirus pandemic. The isolation during the pandemic created depression and she took her life. Our hope through this annual internship, is to help young college students achieve their career dreams with positive experiences helping Michigan youth experience the great game of golf.
