This correspondence verifies your qualification into the 7th GAM Net Chapman Championship at Grosse Ile G&CC on Monday, May 17, 2021

TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday, May 17th

TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. 

CHAMPIONSHIP YARDAGE: Available @ GAM.org, under Tournaments / GAM Championships / Net Championships / Net Chapman – Course Setup. All yardage is projected and subject to change.

TRAVEL:  Please make sure the you account for the possible closure of the Grosse Ile Parkway in your route and estimated travel time.

PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (734) 676-1169.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Net Chapman contestants.

CADDIES/CARTS:  Automotive transportation is mandatory in this championship. Entry fee covers cart fee for the Championship. Note: Only Competitors may ride in a Cart.  Spectators are prohibited from riding. Caddies are not allowed in this Championship.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

FOOD:  Complimentary lunch will be provided after the round for competitors only.

HANDICAP PROCEDURE: Each player’s Handicap Index will be applied to the Handicap Table for the tees to be played. The team handicap will be determined as follows: the partner with the lower Course Handicap is allowed 60 percent of his/her Course Handicap, and the partner with the higher Course Handicap is allowed 40 percent of his/her Course Handicap. Per the World Handicap System recommendations, no adjustments will be made based on the difference in course handicaps of teammates.

CHAPMAN FORMAT: Each partner plays from the teeing ground and plays the partner’s ball for the second shot. After the second shot, partners select their ball with which they wish to score and play that ball alternately to complete the hole. The third shot MUST be played by the partner that DID NOT play the selected ball for the second shot.

PLAYOFF:  In case of a tie for the Championship, a three-hole aggregate playoff will begin immediately after all scores have been posted.
