Golfing FORE a good cause!

Since 2001, the City of Fort Lupton and Jacobs have partnered together to host a benefit golf tournament in an effort to support the local community, raising over $82,000 over the years for local youth. This year's tournament will raise money for two charities that benefit local youth.

Fort Lupton Recreation Center's Teen Program

Half of the proceeds from this year's tournament will benefit the Fort Lupton Teen Program, which gives local youth an opportunity to learn, have fun and participate in exciting monthly teen nights and summer trips. The proceeds will help ensure the Fort Lupton Recreation Center remains a place where teens can be teens and partake in team-building activities, swimming, rock climbing and so much more!

Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County - Fort Lupton Clubhouse

The other half of the proceeds from this year's tournament will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County - Fort Lupton Clubhouse. With continued community support, BGCWC has had a Fort Lupton Clubhouse for several years, most recently at Butler Elementary, and has started to shift its focus to include more middle school and high school youth. Funds raised in 2022 will go toward general operating at the Fort Lupton Clubhouse in support of program quality, increasing the number of Fort Lupton youth served and the longer term goal of a dedicated BGC facility.

The BGCWC programs and activities are designed to maximize opportunities for young people to acquire the necessary tools to help them build self-esteem and grow into productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Families touched by your generosity

"My daughter started going to Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County and we both love it. I am a full-time employed mother who understands how important it is to have resources available in our community to support our daily living. With a daily commute of 45 minutes, it was nerve-wracking thinking that I would not be able to pick her up after school in time. Thankfully, I was informed about this amazing program and was able to get her enrolled just in time. Now I can go to work peacefully, knowing my daughter has a safe place to go after school. She enjoys being around other kids and enjoys the different activities offered, which not only keep them entertained, but also contribute to their growth and learning."

"The Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County has had such a tremendous impact on my family's lives the past two years. My daughter made her first best friend at Boys & Girls Club, learns something new every day and most times doesn't even want to leave! She has the opportunity to learn guitar, cheerleading and even robotics. I am always excited to hear what she has done that day. As for my husband and me, I don't know what we would have done all this time without the extra hours of care after school that Boys & Girls Club provides, especially full days in the summer. Daycare costs for our two children are more than our mortgage, so we owe all the gratitude in the world to the smiling, caring and fun program teachers at Boys & Girls Club. Thank you!"

"My son and daughter have participated in Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County - Fort Lupton Clubhouse for several years. They love the program, my son especially, and they look forward to it. My son asks when he can go again and never wants to leave when I come pick him up. That tells me that he is having fun and I know he's also learning, getting his homework done and having good social interactions in a healthy and safe environment. In short, it's an amazing program and I'm very thankful to have the option after school and during the summer. Not having the option would put my family in a bind and I don't honestly know what we would do without it."
