TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday, June 7 – Wednesday, June 9

SHOTGUN/TEE TIME: For a shotgun start, please be to your assigned cart at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to the start time for announcements. You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.
 
DIRECTIONS: Take I-94 to Telegraph Road. Go S on Telegraph to Northline Road, then W on  Northline ¾ of a mile.

LODGING: Comfort Inn & Suites, 6778 Telegraph Rd, Taylor, MI 48180, (313) 292-6730. Group name is “GAM”. Room rate is $109/night plus taxes and fees.

PRACTICE ROUND:   Players can receive the Senior Resident rate for practice rounds played on weekdays and after 12 p.m. on weekends. Please call (734) 287-2100 and identify yourself as a GAM Tournament participant.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

GAM DRESS CODE:  Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars.  Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted.  Players are expected to adhere to the dress code.

FOOD:  The clubhouse will have food available to purchase.  Complimentary lunch will be served between rounds on Monday, June 7 for contestants only.

CADDIES/CARTS:  Caddies are not permitted at any point during this Championship. Automotive transportation is mandatory in this championship. NOTE: Only competitors may ride in the players’ carts. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. PRACTICE RANGE:  Complimentary for players on the days of the competition, prior to play only.  The driving range opens daily one hour before the first tee time.

HANDICAP PROCEDURE: Per World Handicap System recommendations, players will be receiving 95% of their course handicap for stroke play. For match play, the handicap differences will be established off 100% of each player’s course handicap and strokes will be given off the lower of the course handicaps. Handicap indexes will be established on the day most administratively practical for the GAM.

WITHDRAWAL:  If you must withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.golf. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

MATCH PLAY – USGA General numerical draw shall be used.  The stipulated round shall be extended to as many holes as      necessary for the match to be won.
