Morning Round – Four-Ball

 

Afternoon Round – Alternate Shot

 

Play will begin with a shotgun start. Like last year, we will do 36 holes of continuous play. Morning scorecards will be returned as you make the turn from 9 to 10 or 18 to 1 during your afternoon round.

 

TRAVEL:  Please account for the possible closure of the Grosse Ile Parkway in your route and estimated travel time. At the toll bridge, paying in cash costs less.

PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (734) 676-1169.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM contestants.

 

GPS & RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

 

FOOD:  Box lunches will be put out to pick up as you make the turn from 9 to 10 or 18 to 1 at approximately 11:30 a.m.

 

CADDIES/CARTS: Automotive transportation is mandatory for this Championship and is included in your entry fee. Caddies are NOT permitted for this championship. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. PRACTICE RANGE: Range opens one hour prior to the start and is complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only.

 

PLAYOFF: A tie for Medalist will be determined by a sudden-death playoff if time and the facility allow. If a sudden-death playoff cannot take place, ties will be broken by scorecard playoff using the USGA Tiebreaker Method. A tie for runner-up will be broken by the USGA Tiebreaker Method.

 

WITHDRAWAL:  If you must withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.golf. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
