INFORMATION

TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday, May 10 

TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-75 to exit #131. Go west to Linden Road. Then north 1 ½ miles to the course. The club is on the left side of the road

PRACTICE ROUND:  Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (810) 687-0340.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as Michigan Amateur Qualifying contestants.

FOOD:  The clubhouse will have food available for purchase.

GPS & RANGE FINDERS: The following Rule applies to players and caddies. In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

CADDIES/CARTS:  All players are required to walk. Contestants may carry their own bag or bring their own caddie. Caddies must also walk. Pull carts may be used if the host club allows them. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. Requests and doctor’s notes can be submitted to tournaments@gam.golf and doctor’s notes can also be faxed to (248) 478-5536 attn: GAM Tournament Dept.

PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. The driving range will open one hour before the first tee time.

PLAYOFF:  In case of ties, there will be a playoff immediately following play for the final spot as well as the order for the two (2) alternate positions.

WITHDRAWAL:  If you must withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.golf. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
