TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday, August 2nd – Tuesday, August 3rd
TEE TIME: You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.
PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. The driving range will open one hour before the first tee time. Shots from the on the driving range can only travel 230 yards. We encourage players to only hit irons. Players observed in violation of this rule may be asked to leave.
CHAMPIONSHIP YARDAGE: Available @ GAM.org, under Tournaments / GAM Championships / Men’s Championships / GAM Championship – Course Setup. All yardage is projected and subject to change.
DIRECTIONS: Take the Lodge (I-10) N to Northwestern Hwy. to Inkster Road. Turn right and club will be on the left. OR, take I-275 to I-696 E to Orchard Lake Road (exit 5). Go N on Orchard Lake Road to 13 Mile Road. Go E on 13 Mile Road to Inkster Road. Turn left on Inkster Road and take to the course.

CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to walk. Contestants may carry their own bag, bring their own caddie, or hire a Franklin Hills CC caddie. If you’d like to hire an FHCC caddie, call (248) 851-4335 and ask to speak with Bob Janik. Franklin Hills caddies must be reserved by July 25. PUSH CARTS WILL BE ALLOWED AT FRANKLIN HILLS CC FOR THIS CHAMPIONSHIP. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. PRACTICE ROUND: Practice rounds are available July 27 - August 1 with tee times starting at 4 p.m. on each of those days. You must call the pro shop in advance and identify yourself as a GAM Championship Contestant, (248) 851-6632. The practice round is for PLAYERS ONLY, guests and alternates are not permitted. The rate is $75 walking/$100 cart.
GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.
PLAYOFF: A tie for the Championship only will be determined by a sudden-death playoff. Ties for runner-up will be broken by scorecard playoff.
WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.golf. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
