2021 LPGA Amateurs Ontario Team Match Play Open
August 14 & 15, 2021
Event Format
This is a 4-person team event in Match Play format, playing four-ball matches on Saturday and singles matches on Sunday. The pairs for the four-ball competition on Saturday will be the two team members with the lowest handicaps, and the two team members with the highest handicap (all based on the handicap cut-off date of August 8). Teams can be composed of members from any chapters. Each player must have a valid handicap by the handicap cutoff date of August 8th.
Participation in and volunteering at this event earns chapter points for the Canada Cup!
** The system will say you will be waitlisted.. this does not mean the event is full. You will be waitlisted until your entire team has paid, then your entire team will be automatically confirmed at once **
Team / Handicap notes:
- For anyone familiar with terms of the association-wide Cup Series events, this event does not have any requirements for the combination of handicaps for team members or pairings (i.e. "6-stroke spread" for four-ball partners does not apply). The team can be composed of players with any valid handicap index.

Directions: Map to Cardinal
Saturday - Four-Ball Matches - tee times on both courses will start at 11:00 am.
- the 2 lowest handicaps on each team will play the East Wing course.
- the 2 highest handicaps on each team will play the West Wing course.
Sunday - Singles Matches - tee times on both courses will start at 11:00 am.
- the 2 lowest handicaps on each team will play the West Wing course.
- the 2 highest handicaps on each team will play the East Wing course.
Covid protocols will be enforced.
Registration Fees
Early Birdie Price: $210 per player- until July 6 14 (early birdie price period extended!)
Price includes shared cart and a small bucket of balls for the practice range.
Bogey Price: Fee increases to $225 on July 7 15
Last day to register: August 1, or earlier if field is full.
Practice rounds are not included. Contact the golf course to book a tee time for any practice rounds.
Registration Notes:
- Each Team Captain will register their team, including listing all four team players; the Team Captains will pay for themselves and their teammates will receive an email notification to pay their own registration fees. All players will be waitlisted until their entire team has registered, at that point the team will be moved from waitlisted to confirmed, and the individual registration payments will be processed. A team will not be considered registered until ALL players have paid their registration fees.
- Player substitutions on teams will be permitted until August 1, substitutions must be communicated to the Events Committee immediately; if a player needs to withdraw after August 1 because of an emergency (eg. medical emergency or a death in the family), that player may, with the approval of the Events Committee, be replaced by a player whose handicap is within 2 strokes of the withdrawing player.
- If a team withdraws from the competition prior to July 7, a 50% refund will be available; a full refund will be available if the team's slot can be filled by another team. After that date, there will be no refund. All refunds will be subject to a $5 administration fee.

If your team has less than four players, or if you are an individual player and want to be assigned to a team, please send an email to Susan Cox. We'll introduce people so that they can choose to form a team and enter the tournament following the instructions above.
